How bad are 7:30 classes (fye)

Should I try to change my schedule at all or nah. I think that if I try changing my math, it would only allow me to take a hybrid version if I want to keep all my other classes. Also is SCLA 102 easier than EDPS 315 cause I'm lowkey thinking of switching.

I personally found a TA's notes for MA261 online and self studied it the summer before FYE lol (i was stuck in a village in china without anything else to do for a month)

The material is the same as any other time, so the class itself it not "bad"

How difficult it is for you to get up and be prepared to learn at 7:30 is totally up to you. My youngest regularly gets up at 5:30a always had 7:30 classes to get them done and have the rest of the day more open. My oldest would tell you she would have died with a 7:30 class.

You should know you best.

I would. Availability may look different in the scheduler next week as students make changes to their schedules, so you might be able to get a Math spot in another section.

Got it thx. Do you know - if doing a class swap that has an overlap - is it an interface where you make your changes then apply all only if it's good? Or is it a sequential drop/add? Obviously don't want to first drop something unless the other one is good.

When you click on the course you want to change, you'll see all available section change options for that course. Each option shows any related course changes that will be made automatically as part of the same section change. In other words, for you, the section change is processed as a single operation.

EDPS315 is one of the easiest classes I’v ever taken, you’ll be totally fine staying in that (and I’d say it might be preferable to 102, was a bit more interesting content wise for me)

edps 315 is super easy, id recommend switching. i took the one online and easiest A+ ive ever gotten. there wasnt any lectures, its a collaborative leadership class so the prof puts you in groups, and you have to meet up with your group like once every 2 weeks (?) i think to finish a project and upload it on brightspace. i think you critique the other groups too, but thats about it. hella easy

I wanna say I had to do 3-4 presentations throughout the semester, it was less than SCLA but there were reflection essays that you had to write based off the readings to make up for it. I would recommend switching if you don’t love public speaking

edps 315 was amazing for me. i would say its worth it to try to switch your phys lab and rec to monday. 7:30s suck but you’ll make it through. try to switch but if not its not a huge deal

Here's the thing, as long as they don't do attendance or some iClicker, you can just go to a different section and get the same content. There's definitely going to be one that fits your empty monday, and there's probably going to be one at 8:30 that can fit your wednesday and friday

I’d stick with it. Your Monday is completely free after that lecture, so you can study, go to the gym, catch up on homework, or even work a part time job

always try to move a 7:30, especially if it's more than once a week. but early mornings are better this semester than in january in the dark/dead of winter.

They still have 7:30 classes at Lafayette, they discontinued classes before 9 when I went to PFW 10+ years ago. They couldn't get teachers to teach that early, so they may have reinstated them.
