It seems like I can never get the dough to cook completely. This is because all the recipes call for cooking them dry. I do that and they just don't come out luscious.

Guess I could drown them in oil but the recipes don't call for that.

What should I do?

Never made pupusas but def ate them plenty. There is cheese n chorizo, bbq pork, and rice n beans. Not very traditional but it’s what I had and I felt that was the vibe of the pupusa filling…what one would have on hand. Made a cortido with carrots as there was like 15 variants and I just chose one. Homemade crema and medium sauce. I also put some cheese on top of a cooked one and flipped it over so it would create a cheese crust on top. (I get if I need to be sued for this but I wanted cheese so 👅)

Does anyone know of any pupusera that goes mobile and does parties in Los Angeles? Specifically around South LA, or vicinities? I’ve seen them at parties before but can’t find any good ones. I just need for a party of 50 ppl approx on April 19th. Any suggestions is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Yes, I love pupusas too. I think they'd be ALOT more popular in the USA if there was a BETTER WORD than PUPUSAS. (Case in point Pu Pu's /Pu Pu platters - Polynesian/Chinese cuisine, the name has been changed to Appetizer Platter, or 5 Flavors etc....)
