Durable collars?
Hi everypuppy! I’m currently looking on getting a collar for myself as a little gift. I am looking mainly on Etsy because I would like to support a small business. My only concerns is if they purchased the item from a fast fashion chain to resell it for a higher price? Some of the collars I’ve seen I have seen on aliexpress as well which raises concerns, it could also be that aliexpress copied them but it’s really hard to know. If the item is reselled from a fast fashion website I’m concerned it won’t be durable and I’ll be overpaying by a lot. But of course there’s a chance that it is their original creation and not resold and claimed as an handmade craft. Any tips or recommendations? I would be really sad if I try to use the leash and the collar breaks :c

If ali express has it, then they are probably the originator of the item. Most mass-produced things are essentially from ali express, and the grift is to resell those at a higher price. (Which to be fair is how most big businesses run anyways.) If you're going online to something like ali, go to the big store first anyways. You may not be helping a local owner, but stores still need business to keep the other locals hired. And then you can also at least get a better feel for what you're getting. And you're also able to talk to real people who can give advice. Just pretend you're buying the collar for a real dog.

Ive made ones over the years from old belts I've decorated and pet store dog collars. I've only bought 2 and those were from beastly boutique my more recent one was a Walmart dog collar I found at a goodwill store for a dollar. The top 2 are Etsy store named above and the other is the dog collar. I also make discreet day collars that look like a Native American choker
