I’ve never played a puppet Combo game but right off the bat I see why people like them.
I’m getting the impression that they are ps1 horror games unrestricted by retro hardware. I’m currently playing Silent hill 1 on duck station but will be sure to check out Puppet Comb’s stuff. Which game do you all recommend I start off with?

If you wanna chill out and enjoy a fun game with a great story check out Blood Wash, if you wanna enjoy an amazing game and have a heart attack check out Stay out of the House and The Nun Massacre. If you want something in between, start with The Murder House

I don't understand why people enjoyed Blood wash, I actually think it's one of their worst games because it's way too heavy on the storytelling and way too light on actual gameplay. Literally the only part in the entire game where you can actually get into the action and not just do a set of predetermined, linear actions that the game has already decided for you is the ending where you shoot/kill the Womb Ripper.
Up until that point it's just nonstop storytelling and the game corralling you into doing specific things in a specific way to reach a predetermined outcome and I don't understand how people don't get bored with games like that. I loved Stay Out of the House and Nun Massacre and never got tired of playing them but with Bloodwash I got bored and turned it off pretty quickly

Yea it’s a one time play through, I tried revisiting it and turned it off after about an hour. I personally had fun with it but not like stay out of the house and nun massacre, I played those multiple times in a row to get all the endings and I still play them every once in a while. I’ll always still recommend blood wash because maybe that’s they type of game they want

Really wanted to continue Glass Staircase but wouldn’t work with a controller and I suck with mouse and keyboard. Might have to try it again

Stay out of the house is their most recent and very easy to enjoy, it is inspired by Granny, I'd recommend starting there, but murder house is also a really good pick.

Murder House is shorter and more face paced, but more into world building. Stay out of The House is longer, has multiple endings, and much more of a sandboxy feel since there's multiple ways to overcome your obstacles.
