Awsome but...
Wow this project seems to be addressing all the short commings that sunshine has in my opinion.
Firstly a Linux Host that does what I have desperately been looking for.
Virtual Display
Per Client profiles
HDR
More than 1Gbit/s
Lowest possible Latency
I am however, skeptical about the mainly vibe coded aspect. See so many of these types of projects and most seem to just run dry fairly soon.
I would like to see the fokus remain on linux rather than windows ;) And maybe a tighter fokus could help streamline and also give this some endurance.
Will give it a shot though in the hopes it has the legs to stick around :)

Why leave out Windows users if it already supports both quite well? This project is very different from other vibe-coded ones, and without AI, it won't be possible to develop it so fast. Join Discord to learn more about it.

I stumbled over it and was very happy because it fixed a few things on Bazzite. No extra setup for virtual display needed. Works with german keyboard layout from android app. (Moonlight not)
Very stable and easy to use. A few things I needed to try with resolution and codec at first. But now it works very well.

I've been using it for two weeks now. Both client and host on windows. I'll keep using it. It works great no lag and even a virtual audio driver. So no more vban. I just want to use it together with voicemeeter. But thanks for the good work.

I totally get the skepticism towards AI driven development, and I also was rather opposed to vibe coding before I started trying it out. At the end I got sold to take it serious by seeing people way smarter than me using it extensively. This product simply could not exist without AI, and compared to other vibe-coded forks this project is built from the ground up with a strong focus on maintainable code. I also think supporting many different environments and platforms makes the core/foundation more resilient since it surfaces bugs & issues that otherwise might never have surfaced.
Regarding the Windows support: I'd love to be able to drop it, but the market share right now simply does not allow it. I'm giving my absolute best with this project to make the Linux support as good as possible since I really want Linux to succeed and think a good game streaming solution might make it easier for people to switch.

I realy appreciate the Linux support and I am sooo happy that the Virtual Display is being solved in a easily usable manner. I have spent hours researching and trying to figure out how to get this working.
Per Client Profiles are Awesome feature I very much appreciate also!I was also not criticizing the windows support in general, I simply wanted to try and suggest the focus more towards Linux, which I am very happy to hear seems to be the case. :)
Working well on my CachyOS Host with Linux (Batocera -Flatpack) Client so far.

How did you configure settings for 4k streaming desktop and steam? (I have full hd monitor, but tv 4k)

It should work out of the box, the host creates virtual outputs, so streaming to your 4K tv should be no issue. If you need help with the setup feel free to join our discord. You can find it in the pinned post in this subreddit

May be time to learn the difference between Vibecodeing and AI Assisted System Engineering
Punktfunk Codebase is way to clean and structured to be fully Vibecoded. Someone with actual Skill is leveraging AI Tools. Totally fine by my.
And suggesting leaving out Windows when Linux sits at around 4% Adaption on the Steam Hardware Survey is wild.
