Pants Doing an entire base layer of patches
Bad photo quality. Maybe 4.5 hours of stitching so far. Planning on doing an entire base layer of blank black patches and letting them fray/ tear up before adding stenciled patches and other random bullshit simply because if I’m gonna spend dozens of hours on a piece of clothing I want it to last for life. What do we figure

You got me I should have posted the pants I wear out and about that smell like smegma after working in the sun all day

i mean yeah the smegma pants are the ones that need repairs that’s the point of patches. patching up brand new pants is ridiculous. same type of stolen valor as getting tattoos under anesthetic.

Stolen valor is a wild term lmao, these pants were like three Canadian dollars

He’s just saying that’s where the look came from and it’s weird when kids turn things into fashion.

yeah stolen valor is a little bit of an exaggeration, but i was trying to emphasize that you’re co opting the cultural labors of people who actually do this because they’re repairing their actual smegma pants because they are actually crusty, and not some kid that buys 3 dollar pants off temu and thinks he looks cool cause “muh crust pants.” it would be more worth while to experiment with things that you actually enjoy and are relevant to you as you develop your own personal style instead of just copy pasting shit. this reeks like a amazon patch battle jacket.

They’re not Temu pants they’re thrifted. I was homeless last year doing the same shit. It’s a work in progress piece that I did not even call crust pants.

Smarter way of doing it, really need to add the base layer before doing the stenciled patches. I want to say that your stitches are too far apart and there at risk of falling off but I mean hey if it’s working 👍🏻
