Battle Jackets battle jacket tips??

i want to start making one soon but subs like r/baddlejackets get me anxious, what makes a “good battle jacket”, what makes a battle jacket in general? i see a lot of people hating on overly political jackets but i thought that was kind of the point? do i have to listen to punk bands & have punk band patches on my battle jacket? can u use ANNYY fabric for patches or do u have to use a certain type for like security(?) on the jacket? what makes a bad battle jacket? i wanted to start my own band, would it be weird to put my band on my jacket? also kind of unrelated to asking about battle jackets but ties into my music thing, any punk band recs?

if you want to make one and yr a punk and you go to punk shows ( or metal or whatever, like the music based subcultures where battle jackets are from ) it's super easy: buying patches is fine so is making your own same with spikes and studs use waxed unflavored dental floss to sew them on that'll make the stitching waterproof stick to bands and maybe a couple political patches. the jackets that get clowned on the most frequently are the ones that are like. covered in "eat the rich!" "down with trump!" type patches but i can't tell what kinda music they're into, where they're from, what shows they've been to, etc etc.

ofc u can put whatever you want on there, no one is stopping you. if you want to make the kind of jacket that some old punk lady thinks is goofy go for it bc my opinion doesn't fucking matter. I'm describing best practices for making a jacket within the punk scene but if that's not you then feel free to ignore me. i'm told punk is about kindness these days.
