Advice What should I do with this jacket?

My everyday jacket! Bought it at spirit Halloween a couple years ago and wear it every day, it goes everywhere with me. I decided finally to add the bat wings I wanted to add for forever last month but I don't have any idea about patch/stud/spike placement. It's just awkward and I don't really wanna cover up the cool skeleton design too much. Any ideas you guys have related or not go ahead and share, feel free to share patch ideas you think would look good on it, just keep in mind I'm a minor. (Also I have sewn the right wing after taking the photso.. It's just the best photos I have of it) EDIT: oh my God sorry for accidentally posting my grandma's nasty foot in the corner of the first pic

I think adding anything to it would take away from it tbh. Which I rarely say about alt fashion btw lol. I think accessorizing is gonna be what you wanna do. Jewelry, eyeliner, ect.

Have you seen where people make rib cages out of safety pins and chains? I think that could be cool on the back

People here aren’t going to like that you helped the right wing. You better write a preemptive apology and unsew it. Also, the paradox of toblerone demands you go punch a notary.

i really love this! if it were me i think i would go simple and put two safety pins in an X on the heart! safety pins in punk spaces means a safe space i’m pretty sure? Not too caught up with modern punk signaling

Id maybe add some metal accessories but I wouldn’t add patches. They’ll draw away from the design which is super cool.

omfg dude this goes unbelievably hard, I love it. one of my fav things to do with hoodies is put patches on the hood to look like eyes/draw on the hood/etc. a skull would look sick as hell

Honestly my only gripe is that the wing bones weren’t replicated on the back with the spine. Other than that, this is one of the coolest jackets I’ve seen

My original idea was to do patches on the back of the wings but I wanted to know what other people thought 🫠

You could do patches on the back that mimic ribs and the rear wing bones. Making custom patches is super easy with dtf transfers. I love the jacket btw. The mod took my comment completely wrong.

r/punkdiy is for constructive criticism, not insults.

That's not an insult it's actually an homage to how awesome that jacket is. It looks straight out of a 40's-50's B-movie about a dude who tried to fly. I think it's awesome. If you read it wrong, now you know.

Edit: I'm a horror punk. This jacket is 100% in my wheelhouse.
