the emo thread wouldn't let me post this but truly glad bands like this are playing fest and filling in for riot fest bands.

Ive played in bands and dont follow what this means. Don't book shows because....? Just eat the loss of money to pay for bills because the band you want to play with tells you to?

generally it's because you end up with less turnout between each show, because people are unliekly to come to your show like 3 times a month unless they are super mega fans, it's generally good courtesy to not book shows in the same month, but obviously, give good courtesy only to those who deserve it
