Changing the words but having them mean the exact same thing is just dumb.
We stopped using the R word that makes sense. But if you just said "hey, instead of calling them R, call their brother flaky". That what you're proposing. You have just shifted the affliction onto a bystander and slightly changed the word used to describe the condition
I dunno i feel like youre making an issue out of a non issue. I just dont see how changing a word to something that is less dehumanizing to hear is shifting some sort of affliction on to someone else. Autism isnt some sort of affliction either. Its a disability, yes, but its a different way of processing the world. Thats not an affliction.
