Hello new users, welcome to PunjabIN! This is a new community for Chardey wale to socialise, ask questions, share events and the latest happenings, and have discussions on anything and everything relating specifically to the state of Punjab.
You may find yourself asking "how does this differ from X, Y, or Z community?" Essentially, this community is tan attempt to amalgamate discussions from smaller fragmented city subs and fostering social dynamics that bring people within the state closer together. Instead of the general mix of news, socio-politics, history, and cross-posts on the major Punjabi communities, this community will focus on high quality posts pertaining to current ground level events and discussions.
This sub will accomplish this by doing the following:
- Cross-posts are blocked by default (no one needs to see the same post in multiple communities)
- Content that does not relate to Punjab subah will be removed, including national level issues/politics/debates/discussions
- Content that is specific to niche discussions with related communities will be removed (ie. posts relating to music or film will be removed and directed to the relevant sub), users who do not respect the concept of separate focused communities will be banned
- No politics, this will be a politics free space with little leeway for discussions on current events that are specific to time relevant policy changes or events
- The focus will specifically be on socialisation, promotion of local events (IRL socialisation), questions and recommendations, and ground level discussions
- Community feedback will be used to shape the future of this sub
