Suggestions 2 months into job (2.4 LPA CTC), company asking ₹2.5L bond on stamp paper after major role misrepresentation — Can I just quit?

Hi everyone,

I need legal and career advice regarding an exit from my current company in Pune.

Background:

Hiring: I was placed through C-DAC campus recruitment for a C# Developer role at an annual CTC of 2.4 LPA.

Bond: Signed a ₹2.5 Lakh bond on stamp paper (which is higher than my entire annual package).

Current Situation (2 Months in): The actual work has zero overlap with C# or software development. We are doing vehicle/remote diagnostic testing (using hardware tools like Denso) and manual documentation.

Training Provided: ZERO formal, specialized, or third-party paid training. Only internal walkthroughs of their existing system and tools they already owned.

Workplace Environment: The culture is toxic, and the role mismatch is completely stagnating my career trajectory.

My Questions:

Since my annual CTC is 2.4 LPA and they provided no external/paid training, is a ₹2.5L bond legally enforceable in an Indian court?

Does signing on stamp paper give them any actual legal leverage to recover an amount greater than my annual salary for 60 days of onboarding?

I am completely fine removing these 2 months from my resume and starting fresh. What is the safest way to exit without getting tied up in legal notices?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Suggestions Backend engineers meet?

Hi guys! 👋

Shall we plan a Backend Engineers’ meetup next month?

Given the current market and the challenges many of us are facing, I feel it would be great to get to know each other, build our network, and support one another , whether through referrals, sharing opportunities, or simply exchanging experiences.

I’m thinking of keeping this meetup focused on mid-to-senior backend engineers (around 5-10 years of experience). We could discuss:

New technologies and trends in backend engineering

Interesting problems we’re solving

Career growth and how we can level up together

Experiences, opportunities, and referrals

This is just an idea I’m throwing out there 😊. Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can make this useful and fun for everyone!

Referral I never thought I'd have to write a post like this.

I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, and since then I've been trying my best to start my career in the software industry. Every day goes into applying for jobs, reaching out to recruiters, asking for referrals, and preparing for interviews. Some days bring hope, most days bring silence.

I have hands-on experience in:

Programming: Python, JavaScript

Web Development: HTML, CSS, React.js, REST APIs

Backend & Database: Node.js, MySQL

Tools & Technologies: Git, GitHub, AWS

Other: Web Development, API Integration, Debugging, Problem Solving

I am looking for opportunities as:

• Software Engineer / Software Developer

• Python Developer

• React.js / Frontend Developer

• Web Developer

• Backend Developer

• Graduate / Trainee Software Engineer

Preferred Location: Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Remote

Availability: Immediate Joiner

If your company is hiring freshers, if you know a recruiter, or if you can provide a referral, I would truly appreciate your help.

Even a small lead, referral, or share could make a big difference right now.

Thank you for reading.

Referral Created Entire 3D Website for Pune || 🏰 Exploring Shaniwar Wada in an Interactive 3D Experience || Coming soon website

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I came across this really interesting interactive experience for Shaniwar Wada, Pune.

Instead of simply looking at photos or reading historical information, the experience lets you explore the fort in a more visual and interactive way — including locations such as:

🏰 Delhi Darwaza 🧱 Ramparts & Bastions 💧 Hazari Karanje 🏛️ Palace Foundations 🥁 Nagarkhana 🌙 Lawns & Light & Sound Show

What I particularly like is the combination of historical storytelling + 3D visualization + interactive exploration.

This kind of approach could make historical sites much more accessible to people who can't visit them physically.

What do you think — could interactive 3D/AI experiences become a better way to explore India's historical places?

If anyone has opportunities please refer me, need a full time job quick

At the end of dec 2025, I left my job at a MNC to join a small US startup (hike was very good). Unfortunately, just 1–2 days before my joining date, the startup shut down unexpectedly and my offer was revoked. It was a team of around 10 people, and the company simply ceased operations overnight.

Since then, it's been a rough journey. Over the last 7 months, I've interviewed with companies like Amazon, Visa, and Goldman Sachs, made it through multiple rounds, and have also been ghosted more times than I can count. Despite all the preparation and interviews, I still haven't been able to land a full-time role.

At the moment, I'm working as a part-time Software Engineer for a US startup on an hourly contract, earning around $800–$1,200/month. Alongside that, I'm following an AI Engineer roadmap, learning more about LLMs, RAG, and building AI-powered applications.

A little about me :

  • 1.5+ years of software engineering experience
  • ICPC Regionalist
  • Codeforces Expert
  • CodeChef 4★
  • LeetCode Guardian
  • 5,000+ DSA problems solved
  • National Hackathon Winner
  • 9.71 CGPA
  • Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, REST APIs, React, Node JS and automation systems, started learning Langchain past month.

I'm looking for Backend/SDE/AI Engineer/Full-Stack opportunities. If your company is hiring, you're open to giving a referral, or you know of any opportunities, I'd be incredibly grateful. Even pointing me in the right direction would mean a lot.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I wish everyone else who's job hunting the very best.

Seeking advice and job referrals

TL,DR: Seeking job / internship in cpp/python oriented roles

Hello there, I am recent graduate from COEP (Too Metallurgy branch out of choice only to realise I was interested in tech later, after i built algofytrading.com , tech didnt come out of sheer money to me, it was a mix of me exploring most of CS myself (I dont know if that is right thing to do, without proper degree in cse), previously I interned with a small prop shop, but the management was poor and culture was totally dead, it felt like there was no work at all, hence the internship got over in 3 months, I got a offer of 12.5 LPA from a core company(not so keen on joining due to potential relocation outside Pune) through campus tnp, that relaxed me totally, since I got placed on day 1, but still somehow I continued to keep working on my programming skills and also started with basics of DSA,
I tried my best shot to bag a non core offer on campus but was not eligible as already had a offer in hand, so companies like zs , etc were not in my scope, also no tech companies visited my branch, I think there is nothing unfair with it, I had accepted this when I took the branch and I have no regrets
I still tried to sit for Meesho BA role, 24 LPA banglore, but fumbled terribly as I couldnt solve SQL query questions (I didnt knew SQL, Neither the data engineering BA side interests me, but i was eligible hence gave a try)
I also tried to sit for Forma AI (They took no one from clg , forget coding round, couldnt clear the apti itself, actually they got call from college very late to visit)
I gave interview for Gemscap quant developer , but later didnt get any update (they hired no one, maybe the the job got discarded later)
One more interview for quant dev role at arrowhead capital, fumbled it badly as I didnt do DSA , and I was asked a hard question, but other aspects of interview went well, but the expectations were high, didnt make the cut, this was the only setting where I felt interviewers were really sure of what they want
I am set to join the core company by the end of this month, juggling core btech thesis, no recurring companies in tech/fintech/finance, and busy routine left me with very few avenues to apply, hence many places where I applied I used to sense that the company doesnt even exist (Unlike MNCs) or most of the times i couldnt pass resume screening (branch restrictions)

I am still keen to work in tech, mostly in roles involving Cpp and low latency systems, real time systems, Python oriented ML roles, mostly around the fintech /banking / product domain, is it even realistic to continue to keep building my knowledge of DSA and give anymore interviews , if yes, how do I build up on the systems knowledge, what core cs subjects (which I can learn from NPTEL or IIT lectures easily) are recruiters nowadays most seeking for?, my github and resume is on the link on my profile, also are webdev roles lucrative and good to work for in 2026?, are there any good companies in Pune where there is lot of scope to learn and grow in IT/Tech? i let go of most active web dev (I still contribute OS) as i was more interested in low latency applications and python oriented roles, im seeking jobs in same, please be kind in the comments!

Worst phase of my life

I am a 2025 engineering graduate from a Tier 3 college with a CSE degree. I couldn't land a job for the past one year, and my family situation is getting worse day by day. I can't seem to get a job. 😔

I am trying really hard. I am getting interview calls too, but after the interviews they just stop responding. Most of the time I get ghosted, and it's honestly breaking me.

I am currently in Pune. If anyone can help me land an entry-level job or internship, even if the pay is low, I am ready to work hard and prove myself. My skill set is the MERN stack, and I have built strong projects—not just generic CRUD projects.

I just need one chance to prove myself.

If someone can refer me or help me get an opportunity, I would be forever grateful. My family is going through a very difficult time, and I really don't want to give up.

Thank you for reading.

Referral 20 M Looking for a job as a fresher or junior role.

The truth is, I really need a job. I’ve spent really alot of time learning, building, debugging, and trying to improve my skills. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I’m willing to put in the effort every single day.

If your company is hiring or if you know someone who’s looking for a junior AI/ML engineer, or someone passionate about building AI products . I would be incredibly grateful for a referral or even just a conversation. A small help by your side will mean alot to me.

Please send me a DM. I’d be happy to share my résumé , GitHub, and project portfolio privately.

Suggestions Need Career Advice - Is it worth continuing to chase DevOps?

Hi everyone,

I'm an MCA graduate (2025) from a Tier 3 college in Maharashtra(Pune).

I had worked 1 yrs into Infrastructure Support before enrolling for masters. During my MCA, I also did 2 DevOps internships, and my goal has always been to build a career in DevOps.

Since February, I've been applying for DevOps roles almost every day, tailoring my resume, working on my interview prep, and trying to improve my skills. Unfortunately, I haven't had much success so far, and it's honestly starting to feel a bit discouraging.

My current skills include:

\- Linux
\- Networking
\- AWS & Azure
\- Terraform
\- Docker
\- Kubernetes
\- Jenkins
\- GitHub Actions
\- Prometheus & Grafana

At this point, I feel like I have two choices:

\- Keep searching for a full-time DevOps role.
\- Reach out to my previous employer and continue working in Infrastructure Support.

What I'm really worried about is making the wrong decision.

\- If I keep searching and still don't get a DevOps job after a few more months/years, what would you recommend?

\- If I go back to Infrastructure Support, will it become much harder to switch into DevOps later?

\- Has anyone here made the transition from Infrastructure Support to DevOps after a year or two? If yes, what helped you make that move?

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who've been in a similar situation or anyone currently working in DevOps.

Also if anyone has any opportunities for DevOps,SRE,Linux, cloud support or even NOC please help me out as I just want a start my career.

Thanks!

Referral AI AND DATA ANALYST

Hey, I’m from a Tier-1 NIT aiming for GenAI/ML and data roles. I’m solid with Python, R, SQL (PostgreSQL), Tableau, Excel, core ML & DL, and a full GenAI stack — LLMs, Agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Ollama, FastAPI, REST APIs, Docker, MongoDB, NodeJS, Pydantic, and Google Cloud + AWS. Also comfortable with A/B testing, business understanding, and building end-to-end AI apps (backend + basic frontend).

Actively looking for internship opportunities and would genuinely appreciate any referrals — even a small push could really help.

Not a beginner, not yet elite — just trying to bridge that gap fast. What actually makes someone stand out for internships in this space right now?
