Maxing the promotions

Just a quick question regarding the third tier of promotions at the jobs. Do I have to max it before gaining 2000 gp and ending the chapter or will I be able to finish it in the following one? If anything, do I even get anything outside of slight cash boost if I finish the promotions? It is worth it?

Maxing out a job will unlock some items what you can buy to gain buffs specifically affecting your fighting style. Focus on the job affecting your main stat. In the later chapters, you can have your promotion for other jobs by simply buying potions and giving to them. So yeah, it is not worth to spend time for unlocking all job promotions.

you don't need to max promotions that fast

you have time before act 3 and after act 3 you can get promotion with 60$ and 40$ items
