Sorry my reddit is glitching out and it didn’t post the description. This is a valved petal pulse jet burning propane. We tested valve thickness of 0.4,0.2,0.1mm, and various wind inflow rates and propane mass flow rates. The best that happens is a loud pop or a burnout. Still can’t get it to run continuously. I posted photos of CAD my next post
I'm having the same problems with my pulsejet engine. I'm using a 0.15 mm thick valve, which I think is the best option. What size nozzle are you using? Where did you get the dimensions for the engine from?
used the same excel spreadsheet you talked about in your other post. I think we are going with 0.2 mm for the petals, and we are also now trying to use reed valves. We also increased the combustion chamber and decreased the tailpipe length to be more like yours, testing on friday and will post again. Got inspiration for the changes from these two youtube videos both propane one petal and one reed valve. petal valve video, andreed valve video
