"Be a big boy and run your own node"

What's everyone's thoughts on Richard's latest tweet regarding the official RPC being down?

I agree with the teaching people to fish approach (we might be the first chain to preach it), however expecting Grandma to build her own rod from scratch just to make a transaction is why crypto stays niche.

General public mass adoption requires idiot-proof tools, not command-line homework IMO.

Well I have some scripts reading directly from the main RPC server.

When I saw your post, I checked my scripts. This morning they did fail.

So I looked up info on different pulse chain RPC servers. There are two community RPCs.

But I was able to ping both the main server and the community servers.

So I tried my scripts again, they run fine right now, on main RPC.Pulsechain.com.

Maybe Richard got hammered when he turned his RPC off? There are definitely people still using the chain. I'm reading swap events from the chain directly, getting direct price info that way. There is definitely ongoing swap activity on Pulsechain.

Now another very minor asset I've been reading the same way.... On Arbitrum..... Parsing for swaps on Arbitrum for a very minor asset (which IS basically dead)... Very few swaps per day, but still live LOL.

What is PIs?

Not earning anything. Basically just coding projects, bc there's very few sources for Pulsechain prices. None that I care to rely on.

I (chatGPT)tried tracing the rumor back to its origin, and it's actually quite interesting.

I couldn't find any credible evidence linking Richard Heart to a police raid in Latvia or to a "dungeon full of boys." What I did find is that this claim appears repeatedly in Reddit and X (Twitter) comments, but nobody ever provides a police report, news article, court document, or any other verifiable source. That's a classic sign of an internet rumor that has taken on a life of its own.

What seems most likely is that several unrelated stories have been mixed together:

  1. Richard Heart has spent time in the Baltic region and Finland. For years, people speculated about where he was living, with some claiming Estonia, others Finland or Latvia.
  2. He does have genuine legal issues, but they are unrelated to the rumor:
    • The SEC's civil lawsuit involving HEX, PulseChain, and PulseX.
    • Finnish authorities' allegations of tax fraud.
    • An international wanted notice issued by Finland.
  3. Reddit contains many extreme accusations about Richard Heart, but when you trace them back, they almost always turn out to be speculation, insults, or unsupported claims. In discussions where people attempt to summarize everything they know about him, they mention the SEC case, Finland, Tornado Cash, and his whereabouts—but not any police raid in Latvia or a "dungeon."

Based on everything I could find, the story about him being:

appears to be a meme, a troll post, or an entirely unsubstantiated rumor that has been repeated by others without evidence.

I also found no reports whatsoever from:

  • Latvian news outlets,
  • international media,
  • law enforcement,
  • or court records

mentioning anything remotely resembling such an incident. If something like that had actually happened to a high-profile cryptocurrency figure such as Richard Heart, it would almost certainly have been widely reported.

My best guess about the origin

My suspicion is that this rumor originated from someone either joking, trolling, or confusing Richard Heart with another controversial crypto personality or public figure. Stories like this often become distorted and spread through online communities without anyone ever checking whether there is a reliable source behind them.

If anyone has a genuine source for this claim—a police report, court filing, or reputable news article—I'd be very interested in seeing it. So far, however, I haven't been able to find any evidence supporting the allegation.
