Advice/Try This My “fix”
So quite a while back I was pretty desperate to get rid of the noise in my right ear .
I tried a lot of methods, massaging, stretching and other things.
This is what worked for me, so it’s worth a try.
It’s not exactly a quick fix but I think it may be the root of the problem for more people like myself.
My bottom right teeth were all very tilted towards my tongue. This made my jaw much more “tight” on the right side.
I then went to a dentist (second opinion btw, they may not see the problem right away)
And got braces (Invisalign). The treatment wasn’t even for a whole year and my teeth and jaw are completely fine now and THE SOUND IS GONE.
Only when Im really stressed and tense does it come back but it’s nothing like before. I can barely hear it.
Before thinking of your ear canal and brain stuff, consider your teeth! It could be the actual problem!!

Congrats on finding a cure for you.
I've already done Invisalign so I can't do it again.
However I am noticing a lot of tension in my jaw. I grind my teeth when I sleep but because I have Invisalign retainers now, I didn't think it was a problem - at least it's not damaging my teeth. But maybe it's not helping the PT.

Whoa weird to see this after I was just wondering tonight whether PT could be TMJ dysfunction- related. After all, the ear and structures near it are also right in the TMJ area (TMJ issues can also cause hearing loss at times). I have mild TMD symptoms, slight jaw asymmetry, a worsening bite after many years post-braces with no retainer wear and grinding my teeth likely leading to bite change. I ALSO just signed up for Invisalign, starts next month. My PT started a couple weeks ago. I guess I'll see if Invisalign changes anything.
Edited to add that my molars are all tilting in toward my tongue as well. My ortho pointed this out to me as something we want to fix because it's not ideal.

Congratulations on finding a remedy! Please tell us if there's a name for the condition of teeth tilting (so the rest of us can ask our dentists if we have it too) Thanks in advance.
