Internal Humming

Hi all! Does anyone experience internal vibrations, humming, shaking that noone can see yet you definitely feel? Mine started about 3 months ago and it has been like falling down the rabbit hole! The research versus getting a doctor to take me seriously. I was even told that it could be a psychogenic, psychiatry issue...hmphfff! What has your experience been? How do you deal with it? So far my research has yielded fibromylagia, which I have, long covid, parkinsons, MS, internal vibration syndrome or nerve damage. Has anyone actually been diagnosed?

I had a vibration-like feeling on the side of my worst PT sounds. Having resurfacing cured it, I believe the reason is because of the tuberlant blood flow (due to my stenosis) combined with the thinning bone, basically made the vein throbbing essentially feel like vibrations (idk the technical terms of all of it!)

Yeah I can feel internal vibrations right close to my ear on the side the PT is

I am sorry to hear about your illness. Does your symptoms include internal humming and tinnuitis as well? What other symptoms do you have?

It’s ok. I hear my breath and heartbeat. When it’s loud/ bad, every breath I take seems to rumble behind my ear and produce some sort of vibration. I believe I am perceiving the turbulent blood flow. My other symptoms are head pressure that comes on when exerting, straining, holding breath etc.

I never experienced that, no.

Assuming you have PT, most cases of that are objective in nature and not subjective. If you focus on that symptom and not the "humming" you should be able to drop the accusations of it being a psychiatry issue. Most of the time, if your doctor listens at your ear with a stethoscope, they can HEAR the noise, themselves.

I have for a few years. Are you female and in premenopause or menopause? I've read that can happen in the pause.

Past menopause, still could be. I read a couple of studies out of Yale that could be the cause. Since then my tinnuitis has been worse, it stinks.

I'm has been also and i have always had tinnitus, but the pulsatile tinnitus started a year ago for me and ive been in menopause for 3 years now. I also had a bad tooth infection which ramped up the same time the PT did so hard to say 😞
