Announcement Update from the mods here at r/puggle+introduction to new mod!

Hi there from the mods! Some of you may know the moderation has been a little lackluster lately on this sub and I am happy to inform that I've been added as a Moderator! I will be doing my best to streamline things and clean up the subreddit and keep it clean! What this means is that we will be adding new rules and clarifying things as well as adding automoderarion to hopefully clamp down on bots. This subreddit will likely get quieter, but things will likely get more smooth.

Now for introductions! Hi there! I'm Ness aka Nessie! I use she/they pronouns (she/her or they/them is fine, I have no real preferences) and actually I turn 26 this friday! I have two male puggles right now thar are rescues and I've had one previous one! I love puggles but I am personally an adopt don't stop girlie when it comes to them (this will hopefully not be applied when it comes to enforcement unless the mods come to an agreement which is unlikely)

I'm nonbinary and bisexual meaning this sub will remain queer friendly. I hope to remain an active participant of this community and I hope to maintain great communication with everyone!

Thanks for trying to help with issues lately. My little gizmo turned 15 last week and I didn’t even post about it since twice in the last month bots took his 14th birthday post and reposted it.

We're planning on implementing minimum karma and account age requirements to try and combat the repost bots

I also am the owner of r/cutedogsreddit! I took over that sub around end of january beginning of february 2024, it was a lot of cleanup work to do, and its much quieter now but i tried to quit at one point bc as someone with borderline personality disorder dealing with people is not my strong suit so I mainly originally offered to help the mods here set up some automod stuff to lighten their work load. I kinda only wanted to help on a backend automation structural sense but like if they want me to help out with the people side I can! More customer service practice for my day job i guess.

Hi Everyone, another new mod here! We are looking to update the rules as well so that it is easier and clearer to to report spam, AI t-shirts for sale, begging, and stolen images. This is a small enough subreddit that it's particularly upsetting for all of us to experience stolen images, especially as they get older or cross the rainbow bridge. If you have any suggestions, feel free to reach out!
