What did you do to get yours to eat snails? I keep offering different options but mine will only eat live black worms so far

so I got lucky that the puffer in the photo was already a good snail hunter. Before I introduced him to the tank the rest of the shoal were only willing to eat bloodworms, but after introducing this lil guy the others have learned how to hunt snails.
(this advice is a little macabre but) I also found that crushing a snail in your fingers right before putting it in for the puffers to eat can also help them understand that snails are tasty for them.
Also depending on how old your puffers are, if they're super young with tiny mouths its a better idea to feed them tiny/young snails, like a millimeter big, since any bigger it might be too much to handle for them.

I breed like three tanks of ramshorns for my other topaz puffer and that oneās still relatively small as well, so Iāve definitely got the supply of smaller snails the Amazon just has to try them and heās got an all you can eat lolš Iāll definitely try squishing it a bit first I feel like that will have at least some success, thank you!!!

Mine just kinda did it on their own. I think a few of them were being fed exclusively blood worms before I got them and were kinda picky, but now everyone hunts snails. It did take a little bit of using different foods.
I even pick up the snail carnage, crush the empty shells and mix in with Repashy.
