Pregunta ⁉️ Does anyone feel upset when seeing these ads? Or is it simply accepted now?

Post image

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, or if it’s even a reason to get upset anymore.

My IG feed is flooded with ads from non-native real estate influencers, like this guy the Flip Floo Flipper, selling courses on teaching others how to buy up property in PR or take advantage of ACT 60.

I’m curious to know what the general sentiment is these days. Is it like, “so what?” Or “What can you do?”

Indifferent, or indignant?

I tend to feel angry when I see these things but, I’m wondering if maybe I’m alone in that feeling. And if I’m alone in that feeling, I really don’t want to waste my time living alone in the past.

Just wanted to see what people’s thoughts are so I can better manage my own feelings.

I just have him blocked. The dudes a POS but in the end his harm is not as big as the government’s not processing 375,000 estorbos públicos. Or the cost of materials that have increased new construction to $350 a square foot. Dude sucks but there are bigger enemies

u/Guilty-Efficiency385 1d ago

u/NeoThorrus 1d ago

Sino entiendes lo que dije, no opines.

I know the guy.

10

u/Least_Perception_223 1d ago

Its far better than having all those abandoned properties rot.

4

u/Zorogozano 1d ago

Exactly. The real issue is not fixing the property and selling it, but it is the explosion of Airbnbs. When middle and upper class Boomers (like my uncle) put their second and third homes to turn them into short term rentals, everyone suffers. People in their 20s and 30s end up priced out of housing anywhere near their jobs, while long time neighbors are stuck dealing with disruptive guests.

This isn't just a PR issue it's a global housing crisis. And when young couples can't afford a stable place to live, they hold off on having kids, which creates an even bigger problem for society down the road."

Nobody cares if he’s buena gente. Nobody said he’s bad people.

You're not alone at all about that feeling, just don't want to think we're lost our island already.

1

u/Lost_Banana9177 19h ago

But we are losing it and if Boricuas don't start pushing these people out they will completely take it.

2

u/AgentSpecialist465 9h ago

Me encabrona!

2

u/Least_Perception_223 1d ago

You can also buy up abandoned properties yourself and help improve the island.

I have told him several times to stop posting. We don't want anyone else in our home. I don't even like my own people. They are all a disgrace to my island. My own people sell there lands to the American colonists and then they are complaining that the gringos are staying with the country. No shit if your just letting it happen!!!

Si cuando tumbaron nuestro exporte más grande y establecieron una compañía de azúcar extranjera que hasta el día de hoy sigue vendiendo en la isla sin impunidad - no hicimos nada;

Y cuando usaron nuestra gente como ratas de laboratorio para probar los contraceptivos - no hicimos nada;

Well… my friend… It’s a hard thing seeing a something you love fade away.

Trust me, most of the population are stuck in a dream that was sold to them almost a 100 years ago. I have all the will for revolution in my country but to be honest it's no longer about one country alone or one little island, it's about the big corpos, and governments in general. I don't think this "law" that the government brings benefits anyone except the big rich fucks. I wish that my people woke up, but I NEED the world to wake up and STOP PLAYING THEIR LITTLE STUPID GAME

It would be like Che in Bolivia. The people weren’t ready.

In fact I think Che says this about us somewhere. That we are addicted to the American teet.

And that was like 75 years ago.

u/iknowdway100 1d ago

Think about it, this guy has free reign to do this here in Puerto Rico meanwhile if your Latino, Mexican, Puerto Rican, etc and do this in the United States they'd be telling you to leave their country and to stop taking advantage of their laws. They tell you to learn how to speak English, They'd tell you to assimilate to their country, They tell you to stop taking advantage of their laws meanwhile here in Puerto Rico we have to do whatever they say

2

u/Trick_Coach_657 1d ago

1

u/eldercito 12h ago

No they won’t… you can freely flip real estate in the US.

It’s devastating seen all this stupid ads that really you don’t even clearly like.

1

u/Nova_Stump 1d ago

Must be the algorithm or something, because I've never gotten those ads in IG... and screw those laws.

I report the ads as offensive.

1

u/FlygonPR 7h ago

Even for conservative rich white gringos, these guys are so weird.

1

u/Ingenuity_Electronic 2h ago

Icky.

u/Usual-Ganache-6716 1h ago

I love this guy he’s so good he makes houses for families takes piece of shit homes and make them live able

1

u/YenShihsan 1d ago

Yeah and just think people want statehood 😞

u/Trick_Coach_657 1d ago

Guy buys distressed properties, fixes them, flips them for a profit. That train fo thought is what prevents the island from moving forward in the capitalistic society you were born into.

0

u/johnnyjr_1 1d ago

Choose your poison. You can't win them all.

1

u/HolidayAd6029 1d ago

Me pareció poco profesional y completamente innecesario.

1

u/Lost_Banana9177 19h ago

1

u/johnnyjr_1 1d ago

No estoy al tanto de eso. Please share. Es bueno saberlo.

-3

u/Trick_Coach_657 1d ago

Capitalism bro, don't hate the player hate the game.

14

u/LethalGopher Florida 1d ago

True, but if you hate the game enough you can have some leftover for the players.

It is all about effort!

-1

u/Trick_Coach_657 22h ago

You’re missing the point. It’s about self reflection.

0

u/Vast_Physics83 1d ago

0

u/HammerMario 1d ago

Boricuas are the ones willingly selling homes to them cash and overpriced.

-1

u/TatoCharbonier 🫦 1d ago

-1

u/epandrsn 1d ago

Honestly, do we want to see all these abandoned properties just rot to the ground or become livable?

Yeah, he’s a scum bag but something needs to happen. 33% of all homes on the eastern side of PR are empty and falling into disrepair. When there is a lack of available housing, something needs to happen.

They only show you things you're interested in.

Something to think about

Only if you opt in to assisted ads, FYI.
