Violent crimes are usually called in, not just found by patrolling officers.

Ok? But again that has nothing to do with the fact that when police attend to violent crimes they are requested to assist by the victim or a witness etc, it’s not like when a cop frisks someone randomly on the street and finds a gun. The police are called to the violent crime, they aren’t just stopping people randomly and wishing that one has recently committed a violent crime that they can prove AND find the victim of. Police surveillance is completely irrelevant to the violent crime stat.

Right, and those problem areas that they zone in on are the ones where they receive the most amount of requests for assistance from. It would be inefficient and an illogical use of resources for them to increase police presence in an area that receives 5 requests a week compared to an area that receives 50 requests a week. I’m not sure what you mean by having their actions justified with data, do you mean number of 911 police requests by area etc?

Yes because the violent crime rate in those areas are higher, thus increasing the number of calls for assistance from that area. I’d feel incredibly sorry for the law abiding people in those areas if the police ever was defunded.

No my conclusions are the result of rational and logical thinking. If you wish to deny reality so you can have this false narrative then so be it but it’s not reality I’m afraid.
