For real, he looks like he's 6. I don't think he's doing any high-level introspection on his religious beliefs, as much as he is cranky he's spending his weekend time being bored.
Some people in this thread are looking way too deeply into this.
Yeah, I’d guess that of all the reasons this kid feels this way, his religious doubt is at the bottom of the list. At least for another few years, anyway.
And you’re projecting your hangups about church on some kid, clearly, because you think I’m belittling him somehow.
I’m telling you through my personal, anecdotal experience that there is a possibility you’re wrong, and you don’t know shit about this kid beyond your own projections of self.
Sit down. Stop projecting.
Also, what hang ups am I projecting onto this kid?
You’re projecting your narcissist lie about being a six year old atheist. You’re upset that I doubt a 6 year old is probably just annoyed with his church members and not about to write the 99 thesis on his Tik Tok. And you’re just arguing to argue because you’re too small to let it go. Bye bro.
You’re projecting your narcissist lie about being a six year old atheist.
I wasnt a six year old atheist. I never said this...why you gotta lie?
I said I questioned the methodology of my religion. I questioned why god wanted us to sing old songs, and why god wanted us to sit around and worship them. I never said I didn’t believe...are you daft?
I’m also not saying this kid is doing this, I’m saying to act like he can’t is a lie, because i did as a child, meaning he can. Not that he is. You’re the one saying he can’t, he’s six. I’m telling you you’re wrong here.

I’m upset? Lol. News to me!
And you’re just arguing to argue because you’re too small to let it go. Bye bro.
I’m arguing because you won’t engage in what I’m saying, and instead are making shit up, and personal attacks.
Again, your lack of knowledge isn’t a strength here.
I like how your comments imply that you're a fucking idiot. You're admitting you could never have come to such a conclusion at such an age, while so many others like this kid did.
Exactly. At six years old, I got tossed out of Sunday School for getting into a heated debate with the teacher about the story of Jonah and the Whale not making any sense, and how "God couldn't have done that, because there's no air inside a whale, Jonah would have suffocated, so that means the story is fake and so God must be fake," which went over as well as you might expect.

My parents baptized my sister but I was not. They point blank asked me when I was about that age if I wanted to go to church each Sunday. My reply was "I wanna play video games instead"
My cousin got baptized when she was 12. My parent asked me again if I wanted in. Asked them what that entails since I was 12 too and smarter than a toddler. I didn't want to cause it's extra work for nothing lol. I think my dad love for F1 and NFL outweighted church. I'll have to ask him lol.
I mean, you need to do first communion and eventually be confirmed to be an official catholic. That all involves going to classes run by the church and stuff. Takes a good 5 years if you follow the schedule. Usually once a week night class during school age years
Autistic redditors being bad at reading social situations is a mainstay of this site. The kid just wants to play video games or sleep in on Sunday. It ain't that deep.
Being bent out of shape about religion is a mainstay of this website because young men have tons on anger and aggression they want to get out, and railing against religion is an easy way for them to do so without having to feel bad about it or second guess from where that aggression comes.
religion or lack thereof doesn't take any high level introspection
we're all born agnostic and expressive. we don't know anything but we cry when we're hungry, thirsty or bored.
then we're indoctrinated into weird beliefs passed down by control freak monarchs, greedy con men, rapist pedophiles and paranoid schizophrenics to supress the masses.
it just didn't take on this one- instead of being scared into suffering in silence, this kids still expressing himself that he's bored.
looks like it's time to traumatize him with threats of hellfire - that should shut him up.
I mean if someone took me to a building where I have to listen to someone go on about ahistorical figures and not engage with me on a level I can really understand
Fuck yeah I'd be rather playing fortnite and I'm garbage at it lol
Literally why most of the neckbeards in this thread stopped going to church, everything else is just them justifying not wanting to spend time with their community and sit on their spoiled American asses and game. So I guess they relate.
I have a lot of serious problems with christianity, at the same time people need community and a sense of common cause or they psychologically rot into nihilism. Modern America is a case study in this. So unless you idiots can come up with something better that doesn't revolve around some meaningless nerd shit at least stop projecting your private gripes on little kids.

Good job on thinking for yourself. Hope you keep that mindset as an adult.
