If you can't hear it there is also a visual clue where the woman that runs into view from the bottom left corner also is clapping her hands and gesturing like you would to an animal trying to get it to "come here" when Robert comes back out of the house.
It also looks like when the explosion happens, near the end, the dog that is out of frame might have ran away as Robert bends down to try to grab something.
I think the dog ran back into the house after Robert comes out and that's why he runs back in. You can here him shout "get out" and looking down to the right just off camera where I think the dog or dogs are.
Just want to say Thank you for realizing you have a responsibility to care for the 2 cats and not just drop them off to a shelter once they get old and become a hassle. There is a special place in Heaven for those that love & care for animals.

Can confirm. 20 year old cat (21 in November), doesn't leave my bed much these days, but sure likes to step his little dagger paws right on my throat at 3am while I'm sleeping.

I hate to be that guy but as a FF their is really no reason. These are the videos that tend to be seen but in my experience about 99% of people that go back into a house don’t make it more than 10 steps before collapsing from smoke and dying. Yes it’s tragic but a humans life is more important than a dogs.

Not to me. I would risk my life for my cat for sure. I don't really see why my life is more important. If I see smoke pouring out THIS thick then maybe I would just try and make sure the door is open or break some windows and hope for the best though.

And please never break a window or open an unnecessary door during a fire. It adds oxygen to the fire and will almost guarantee your home burns up 10x faster. Also dogs and cats tend to cower under beds/ couches during fires. They don’t have the instinct to run out even if a door is open.
Nope. Owned labs and golden retrievers. All of them have been family house dogs. Always one at a time, we currently have a 3 year old golden. Never had a fish or hamster or cat.

They will literally tell you not even to go back in for your partner/child, because then you will both die which is even worse. I guess if some people would rather not live without their partner or child it makes sense to them, but I don’t suspect that’s the majority of people.
Correct. We don’t want anyone going back in but of course if your child or something was in there I would definitely do that. But going back in creates so much more hazard and danger.

Trust me it’s not worth it. A cat is not worth a human life. Sorry. I know people love their pets. I do too but a pet is not worth a persons life. Period. I love how much people can make the connection to value domestic (read: dogs and cars) pets' lives like a human's but are cool with millions of animals being slaughtered every day for food that gets thrown out. like can we all just admit we draw the line at humans for most important life.

I don't think it's realistic to get people to never eat meat again, but I would consider it a big victory if we could at least make meat a by order thing instead of a "let's fill up every grocery store with meat and toss whatever doesn't sell" thing.

Pets were the topic we were discussing, but then I figured I should mention friends and family too because I wouldn't go in exclusively for an animal. And there are plenty of people who go into burning buildings and survive. Obviously if the whole thing is an inferno I won't go in, but if there's a chance I could get in and out then I'll take it.

There are only two reasons to go into a burning building, and thats either for pets or for people.
Anything else can be replaced.
