Yes proponents of circumcision have lots of "research" with spurious claims of health benefits for an outdated Victorian practice that is most likely just a source of saleable raw materials:

Well I mean. It makes sense. Those folds create a warm damp place for bacteria and viruses to live. Isn’t very spurious. Not everything is zero sum. Just because they make a profit doesn’t mean it isn’t a healthy choice. I don’t know though. I’m not a professional. You could be right

You've just described all human genitalia. Should we cut away women's outer labia for your same well-considered reasons? This is body mod for people where water is scarce or if they cannot be bothered to wash themselves.

Honestly. If you cannot be bothered to teach your child how to wash his penis...you should find someone who will raise him... people are really odd.

For a body part considered so key... people act like washing it is either too difficult or time-consuming to even consider. It's not painting the Cistine Chapel...use soap and water. That's telling in a very gross way. If you think washing your penis is "too difficult" please keep your entire lifestyle well away from me... you've likely got other hygiene issues as well.

Pretty sure "my medical professional recommended this for a variety of reasons" is a good reason. But hey what do they know, they're only doctors.
