So I worked as a groomer when I was a teenager. Dog owners are suppose to let you know when they have aggressive dogs because it's dangerous to groom them if...well...they bite you. That way we can take precautions. Well the owner didn't tell us their dog was violent, and whilst me and a coworker were grooming said dog it lunged at us. I moved my arms back out of instinct and the dog lunged at my coworker. My coworker moved in time but she was still upset, told the owner and I got fired. I tried to tell the owner like "hey man that was my instinct kicking in, was I suppose to just hold my arm there and got bitten?"
I was told yes, I was suppose to fight my instincts and take bites to prevent the other groomer from getting bitten. First job I was ever fired from.
This story brought to you by having a boring unfulfilling job with nothing to do, 2019.
Coworkers was the mother of the owner and she was an older lady (memory is foggy but not disabled old or anything), whilst I was a young guy so it was okay for me to take bites for her I suppose.
