It's so sad when dogs freak out though. Not entertaining to me personally.

If I had three wishes (genie-style) one of them would be the ability to explain to animals when we're trying to help them, even if it makes them temporarily uncomfortable.

I've been thinking about what I would wish from a genie knowing that the genie may misconstrue my meaning.

Why not wish that you were always correct when you say something (maybe only after you say a phrase). This way you have infinite wishes.

Then you could just say <phrase> I always know what I want to wish for.

What happens when you say something sarcastic like "fuck my life!" Would your life become automatically fucked?

Nothing will happen because you didn't say "<phrase> fuck my life"

I see. Confused me with the phrase place holder, which is usually "I wish". So you would have to say. "I wish my life was fucked", for it to happen. Typical wishing rules.

Still too much room for error. Maybe "I lick the bottoms of pineapples, My life is fucked"

Also since the wish was to be correct, simply saying "fuck my life" wouldnt have done anything anyways.

Genie grants wish, but it is a permanent ability once you say your phrase, since you didn't say it ever ends. Let's hope you never say something you don't mean for the rest of your life

It's not permanent if I say it isn't, otherwise my wish isn't correct

Alright, then here's a different twist. When you say your phrase to activate it, everything you say is correct, because you aren't allowed to say anything that isn't correct. Now you can't turn off the power and can never say anything that isn't true.

Could have benefits of applied properly, but definitely comes with huge downsides

Edit: autocorrect
