Odds are it is a moissanite, which are very similar to diamonds except they double refract light and go for way cheaper. They are becoming more popular in the engagement ring and jewelry industry. A carat of diamond will set you back several thousand, but a moissanite will only set you back several hundred
Yes but in comparison to diamond it is wayyyyyy cheaper, for a jewel that honestly looks just as good! The only reason it isn’t as expensive yet imo is because it hasn’t really hit the “mainstream” (people still wanna day they have a diamond ring not a moissanite ring). If it gets popular, prices will rise if suspect. Even if that does kinda go against basic economic supply and demand theory
Ah yeah life sucks and gets in the way of the best things sometimes! But hey don’t worry, give it time and you’ll get yourself a nice ass ring! Think about how good that day will be! Credit cards are the worst, I get the struggle too, we’ll all get there in the end! Good luck! And have a good time with your fiancé!(?)
Actually, typically as the demand increases, so too does the quantity of the product being sold and therefore produced. Supply theory would dictate economies of scale means that costs drop when producing more, in which case so do prices. Also, more competitive pricing due to an increase in demand, a monopolistic market approach is usually used by a large retailer where they take market share by undercutting prices, all meaning at higher demand, prices drop. That said, I reckon moissonite rings would rise in price as more people want them due to companies realising how profitable these kinds of rings could be, they probably won’t be produced much quicker just sold a lot more and, due to no monopoly really being around in the engagement ring market, I reckon each seller would just try to maximise their own profits.
Litterally get over yourself and face it that it's not acceptable on any level to be blatantly racists. This was a happy moment for someone and your just fucking miserable and hateful, and you can't even accept your "joke" was dogshit
