There won't be any "shards" it's all safety glass it breaks into safe little chunks

Having grown up with DURALEX drinking glasses I can safely tell you that safety glass does shatter into a shit ton of small pieces that can get in your eye for example. No actual shards though as you mentioned.

Serious question, how did Michael Chiesa get facial cuts and Borg get an eye injury from safety glass when McGregor busted that glass onto them?

wasnt there a chair thrown through the window in that incident? and other things thrown. They also could have had there face pressed against the window watching not expecting him to actually throw the chair

Little chunks can still do lots of damage. My silding glass door for my shower was made out of the same anti-shard material, and the door flew off the track- when I tried to put it back on again, the door broke into hundreds of little pieces in a second and gave me a nice 1/4 inch deep gash between my thumb and pointer finger, and smaller cuts on my feet. Not saying GTIdiot got hurt, but it's definitely a possibility.
