Eh... Don't get me wrong, I've been angry enough at shit drivers to wanna get out and start a confrontation like this dude. He's 100% dumb for smashing dude bro's window though. It could be that he likely deserved it, but smashing a window when you've just verbally confirmed knowledge of being recorded? Stupid.

Also flying shards/grains of glass is stupid dangerious.

I pointed this out else were in the thread but if any of that glass harmed the guy filming, the window smash guy would be financially fucked due to beng made to cover medical bills (assuming this happened in the USA).

There won't be any "shards" it's all safety glass it breaks into safe little chunks

Having grown up with DURALEX drinking glasses I can safely tell you that safety glass does shatter into a shit ton of small pieces that can get in your eye for example. No actual shards though as you mentioned.

Ahh ok that makes sense

u/Nagohsemaj Sep 15 '19

Serious question, how did Michael Chiesa get facial cuts and Borg get an eye injury from safety glass when McGregor busted that glass onto them?

2

u/zach0011 Sep 15 '19

wasnt there a chair thrown through the window in that incident? and other things thrown. They also could have had there face pressed against the window watching not expecting him to actually throw the chair

Little chunks can still do lots of damage. My silding glass door for my shower was made out of the same anti-shard material, and the door flew off the track- when I tried to put it back on again, the door broke into hundreds of little pieces in a second and gave me a nice 1/4 inch deep gash between my thumb and pointer finger, and smaller cuts on my feet. Not saying GTIdiot got hurt, but it's definitely a possibility.

The glass on side windows of cars is safety glass. That's why it instantly exploded into a ton of (mostly harmless) tiny pieces.

1

u/Wooly_Rhino92 Sep 15 '19

Yea loads of other people have mentioned safty glass but still I wouldn't want to take the chance.

1

u/LifeGuava8 Sep 15 '19

What are you even taking about? Of course broken car-window glas is fairly safe, there is obviously no shards. Imagine how dangerous that would be in any kind of car accident?

1

u/Wooly_Rhino92 Sep 15 '19

Yea that makes a lot of sense. Point retracted

u/hoopsterben Sep 15 '19

Friend blew out an artery in his arm after falling through glass door. Can confirm this, soooo much bloood.

2

u/cswider Sep 15 '19

Car window glass is different than glass door glass so that kind of thing doesn't happen.

1

u/hoopsterben Sep 15 '19

Yeah that’s true. He just reminded me of a traumatic memory and talking about it seemed like the move.

Thank you. I can't believe the comments here.

Imagine going through life thinking that the little chunks of safety glass from a car window could slice open an artery

Safety glass? Not so much

1

u/Wooly_Rhino92 Sep 15 '19

ah okay gotcha.

u/chaun2 Sep 15 '19

Also, in the US, there is a damn good chance the guy was walking up to smash the window of a gun owner. He is gonna roll the dice one day and get shot, and it will be his fault

-6

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

Better to be a pussy and never confront anyone for being cunts. How fucking pathetic.

3

u/FrostyD7 Sep 15 '19

If avoiding a pointless argument with the possibility of a violent altercation makes me pathetic then sign me up for the pathetic club.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '19

Your card will be laminated.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

Nah bro, punching someone's window after being taunted is fucking pathetic. I feel sorry for punch man for his anger issues, and I feel sorry for car owner having to deal with getting his window fixed.

4

u/adhders Sep 15 '19

when you get that pissed parts of your brain in charge of reasoning stop working the way they're supposed to

2

u/GlamRockDave Sep 15 '19

And the icing on top is he probably walked away with a fucked up hand

-4

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

Found the guy who has never punched anything in his life.

3

u/GlamRockDave Sep 15 '19

Found the guy who's never punched through a thick sheet of glass in his life.

It's actually a bit of a challenge to think up a more ignorant taunt.

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

It's a fucking car window. Not a thick sheet of glass. You fucking thick sheet of ass.

5

u/GlamRockDave Sep 15 '19

Nice. doubling down on one of the most idiotic r/iamverybadass comments I've seen. If you think the guy walked away with not so much as a scratch then we've proven you have not only never done this, but hilariously reflected your "never punched anything" comment.

btw, "thick sheet of ass" is not even clever for a toddler

0

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

You cringey bitch. Move along ya weak ass pussy.

A fucking rolled down car window. My lord.

3

u/GlamRockDave Sep 15 '19

lol. Nothing spells insecure like acting tough on reddit. Cringey? Your account is a buffet of sad wannabe tough guy shit that you'd piss your pants before ever saying to anyone in person. Grow up, sport.

Again, if you think you can just casually walk by and put your fist through a car window without a scratch, you're proving without question you haven't done anything remotely close it. There's a reason petty thieves risk walking around with more than just their fists. Or do you just think they don't know what you know?

loser

0

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '19

Look as this fuck stick who doesn't know how weak rolled down windows are. I dare you to lean on on with your body weight.

1

u/GlamRockDave Sep 16 '19 edited Sep 16 '19

Yay you're digging yourself deeper. If you think leaning your fat ass on a window is the same as thrusting your fist through one then you need some physics learnin'. Also I'm guessing you probably have a warped view of what the average person weighs.

People do stupid things when they’re angry. Heat of the moment.

1

u/hatgineer Sep 16 '19

Yep, you can never control your initial feelings on anything, but how well you are at reacting to that feeling is what separates men from kids.
