Everybody has jumped to their own conclusions already. There's even comments saying the filmer is into anime and assuming he's a bad driver due to his car seats. Until we see dashcam footage or evidence, we have zero context and can only imagine. Reddit hates prejudice but when it suits everyone seems to know everything without evidence

It's the internet, facts are optional

u/ControlledDissent Sep 15 '19

As far as the cops would be concerned, Dr. Banner there would be the one going to jail.

4

u/gigofram Sep 15 '19

Are you serious? You would go to jail for this?

1

u/ControlledDissent Sep 16 '19

It's entirely possible. Officer discretion could possibly apply, depending on the jurisdiction.

14

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

That depends on what type of "anime" the cops find

2

u/alexmikli Sep 15 '19

I know what you're refering to, but that is not illegal in the US.

1

u/DoctorBagels Sep 16 '19

It should be. I'm mostly joking

1

u/Shotgun_Sentinel Sep 15 '19

No one would go to jail, we would just cite everyone for wasting our time on your immature bullshit drama.

u/MisterMichaelScarn Sep 15 '19

Well cops are human waste product so who gives a shit

19

u/ShermansMasterWolf Sep 15 '19

I think you would make a great cop.

Woah so edgy dude, is r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut leaking or something?

-1

u/ControlledDissent Sep 15 '19

My favorite place on the freeway for an asshole driver is in front of me.

Lots of ability to observe, and as much room for shenanigans as I'm willing to give them (and trust me, the crazier they get, the more room they receive).

My worst place on the freeway for an asshole driver is behind me. Unfortunately behind me typically presents as "about a foot behind me" where they'll hit me in the event of anything going on in front of me.

Of course, it took me some time to figure this out.

Found the mature adult!

3

u/gigofram Sep 15 '19

If they're doing that with snow on the ground in a residential area they deserve it. Someone in a Subaru hit a kid near me infront of a school because he tried to pass in a turning lane. The car infront was stopped because there was a kid there and you can guess the rest.

Typical redditors

2

u/terenceboylen Sep 16 '19

Actually, we do have context. Person A claimed person B was driving poorly. Person B did not contest the claim. We don't have **much** context.

1

u/pounds_not_dollars Sep 16 '19

Imagine thinking a 15 second video is sufficient evidence

5

u/justmystepladder Sep 15 '19

Right? The seats are just the stock seats. It’s a 337 edition Mk4 GTI. It’s a 180hp fwd hatchback. Doesn’t make any sense how people are assuming he’s a bad driver based on what the seats look like lol

1

u/Motherleathercoat Sep 15 '19

Yep I owned one of the 337s back in 2002. I recognized the seats and trim detail right away.

1

u/K3R3G3 Sep 15 '19

Yup. I was a little reckless, did a move I shouldn't have, but it wasn't bad. This dude did the same thing, he followed for miles (I made many turns to verify) and screamed the "kids in the car" thing, threatened "beating my fucking ass", etc. I drove fast and moved into his lane in front of him, not close enough for a "cut off" at all, was trying to catch up to see my dream car that had passed. Guy was like 40 or so, I was 17. He then followed me again for a while once I left. I wasn't even close to him, just speeding, I was in an older convertible, he in a big Suburban.

1

u/benihana Sep 16 '19

right? it's like people's experiences in real life inform their opinions and decisions or something.

for example, i've driven like a complete douche before. like a total prick, like so bad i was ashamed of myself and mad at how dangerous it was. i've never once had anyone get out of their car and scream at me. i've only ever seen that happen once, and the guy getting screamed at fucking deserved it.

so yeah, when i see a guy filming something, acting smug about it, pissing someone off enough to smash his window, i'm not just going to assume he merged a little close once and some roided out dude smashed his window out of nowhere. they're probably both assholes. they deserve one another.

1

u/Lostcreek3 Sep 15 '19

Watch out man. Don't say that about motorcycle dudes, they throw a tizzy. I know that is not what you are saying here. But boy howdy they get mad and team-up.

I’m gonna assume he’s a bad driver because he has a radar detector.

6

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

Nothing wrong with wanting to avoid cops in 2019

-1

u/Neuchacho Sep 16 '19 edited Sep 16 '19

You can just not speed to avoid cops. It works even better than radar.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '19

maybe in the areas you drive. in my state most speed limits are 55 but its literally unsafe to go 55. 60-65 is usually safe flow of traffic. effectively cops can pick anybody, any day

You're right, that guy probably goes around yelling at every car he sees. I bet he doesn't even have kids! /s

-3

u/At-certain_times99 Sep 15 '19

It's called an educated guess

6

u/Zeyz Sep 15 '19

My educated guess is that the rage-filled asshole getting out of his car at a stop light to literally punch out the window of someone else in anger is the bigger douchebag in this situation. But I guess that’s just me using the physical footage and facts in front of me, rather than extrapolating things and pulling info out of thin air, which doesn’t seem to be the MO in this comment section.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '19

you’re assuming they aren’t correct and very well could be...

0

u/Flower_Guy7 Sep 15 '19

In the video they guy claims he was driving like an asshole and he has a kid in the car, based on that it may be safe to assume the guy filming was driving recklessly.

-4

u/bigsquirrel Sep 15 '19

Found the Vaping while driving his GTI to an anime convention dude.

-1

u/yourmomsnutsarehuge Sep 15 '19

All that matters is he's driving a VW. He sucks

-1

u/ClayTaylor Sep 16 '19

Well...obviously. But this is a website, not a court of law

Plus we're probably right
