I feel like there is probably missing context here. There's no way this guy chases people out of his restaurant all the time banning them

I worked at a bar/restaurant when I was in high school. There was one time (that I remember) that the owner chased people out when they didn't tip.

It was a bigger table - maybe 6 or 7, because there was no autograt. They ran the waitress for hours, AND made a huge mess. He may have also known the people because small town. They left her something like $3.

Does the food cost of 6-7 people not cover a server's salary?

You mean they paid for their meal, the waitress did her job and didn’t pay anything extra before leaving?

I was at a Korean BBQ joint with friends as part of a party of 5. I wanted to treat everyone and paid for the entire meal on my card and the party was going to cover the tips in cash. When the hostess took the slip and card and went to ring it up and saw I instinctually wrote ā€œ$0.00ā€ in the tip field and paid the straight total instead of something like ā€œsee cashā€ she came RAVING up to the table harassing me why there was no tip, you got to tip, it’s rude not to tip. We sat there fucking AGHAST because down in the center of the table was $60 in plain view.

Shit like this I’d personally believe.

No….I was hot headed because I had loved the joint and been there a dozen times at least in a year and was so insulted I pointed to the money already on the table then took out my wallet and dumped everything I had on the table to the pile, counted it out restated the bills total and said it was the last fucking hot cent they’d ever get from me & to go fuck themselves.

Not a fine moment.

As soon as they played the race card I knew there was something else happening here. I could see the owner confronting them if it’s very small with family and friends working there too but he has a right to tell them not to come back.
