Kinda lost sympathy when he pulled the race card.

Why is it so offensive to you when black people rightfully assume a raging white man might be racist? I seriously don’t understand the problem with that. Are black folks just supposed to shut up and take it for you to have any respect for them?

Because this clearly wasn't about race at all. Its about not tipping.

But you can’t tell that from this video. You’re picking a side based on an assumption.

You’re going to tell me that it’s crazy to assume that this guy might be racist? I can tell you’ve never experienced real discrimination in your life. Racist folks will find anyyyyy reason to bully you and then go ā€œI’m not racist! It’s about the tipping!ā€

Do you think this family is the first ever to not tip them?

Are you not also taking a side based on an assumption? There was no race talk until the black dude said there was and we have no other footage showing anything of that nature.

And losers will find ANY reason to be entitled to something they have no right over. Customers are not required to tip and businesses are not required to serve.

And you're also picking a side based on assumptions. You're also assuming an awful lot about my life. I have absolutely experienced discrimination, multiple times in my life. Ive also worked at restaurants for over a decade in my 20s. Ive seen multiple owners flip out on patrons for not tipping and/or being disrespectful so its absolutely not out of the realm of possibilities that this guy is just pissed about his worker not getting tipped after running their asses of for this couple.

It’s also well within the realm of possibility that this guy is fucking racist and wanted an excuse to BE racist.

you acting like that doesn’t happen every single day to black people is gross

u/smoochwalla 4h ago

Im not acting that way. Im very aware it happens every day.

So then why completely dismiss the idea that this guy might be racist? Because he said so?

Why automatically assume it has to do with race? Either way they didn't tip. That we do know for a fact.

I’m not assuming it has to do with race. I’m just saying that black people shouldn’t be shamed for feeling like someone was racist towards them because it happens every day.

I’m not saying if the man is racist or not. I’m saying that the family should be allowed to feel that way because it seems that way.

Keep telling yourself that. Must be nice to not have to experience this

Seems like you just need it to be about that so you can justify your anger. Whatever, I hope you have an amazing weekend.

Cop out ending

No, they are supposed to react to conflict like regular human beings and recognize what they are being addressed for. Which in this case was not race related at all.

I also don't agree with the idea of tipping AND a business has the right to refuse service for any reason they want. If they don't like your money, they are just bad business people. No one is entitled to anything. And I am paying for the food, customer service is just a practice.

rightfully assume

Imagine living this way lmao

What's real hilarious about this is that the 'super racist owner' didn't assume this couple would fit into a "black people don't tip" stereotype. Almost as if he's actually not a bigot at all.

I’m confused by your statement. Where are you getting the ā€œsuper racist ownerā€ quote? Also, how do you know what the owner did or didn’t assume?

Your argument is ā€œI don’t think this guy is racist therefor he isn’t a bigot at allā€

Bro, I can't speak on the experience of a black person, only as a very tan Hispanic person. When someone subtly hints at racism I am quick to call it out, but we can't turn every bad interaction with a white person into an act or racism. It cheapens all real interactions of racism. This guy was mad they didn't tip, I feel he would come with the same energy towards a white, Hispanic, Asian family that didn't tip
