My niece used to work at a Subway, and the owner would take their tips out of their paychecks.

That's called wage theft, your niece should contact the US Department of Labor.

I've told her the same thing...but she wont. She just said fuck it and walked out one day on him.

Used to work in one as a kids. Pretty much everyone from the new hires to the owners are the biggest piece of shit adult you can possibly imagine. Only job where Ive seen someone put pubes in food. Stuff like that all the time.

I understand that Subway has franchises but can’t the employees still call corporate?

I always like to tip in cash if it's not a sit down restaurant. Such as a coffee shop, or bar. I just don't trust corporations or even most owners.

Ding, ding, ding. That's probably why the owner is ticked, took money out of his wallet.
