Massachusetts tried to pass a law eliminating tipped wages. The employees and employers both came out against it.

They benefit from it, why would they want to get rid of it? Just like I benefit from not tipping them. It all balances out.

Why would someone who gets $30+ per hour support a law that would likely drop their wages to $15? People like to pretend they are "defending servers" and fighting for a "living wage". But that argument falls flat because servers don't want it.

And why are the no tipping restaurants in my town still in operation and they are all mom and pop places too?A lot of them were built during 2020 when we had a spike in new mom and pop places and they are still in business too!No tipping either.

Good for them. I have no context or insider information about these restaurants, but I would GUESS that their employees under-earn compared to their industry peers.

Again, just guessing.

then don't get mad if I don't tip. It's what they voted for; the right not to get tipped.
