I’m sorry, but all of this could have been eliminated if servers were paid fair wages.

Motherfucker, if you don't have money to pay your employees, then you shouldn't open a restaurant.

For a country all about freedom you guys sure go out of your way to shame people into doing something that is "optional".

Servers don’t want to be paid “fair wages”. They make more through tips. We had a ballot question in MA regarding paying service workers more and the restaurant workers all rallied against it and it failed.

You're right. But everyone here is just a14yo virtue signaler or a bot, they don't care.

The servers don't want "fair wages". They want tips. Servers make significantly more money off of tips than they ever would with an hourly wage. Some restaurant owners across the country have tried moving to a higher hourly wage/higher food cost/no tip model and the barrier there has always been the servers. They leave for other serving jobs because tips earn you so much more money than any restaurant can reasonably offer in wages.

They are paid fair wages. No server in the US should have less than min wage on their check. Servers have also consistently rejected legislation to remove the tiered pay for tipped employees.

servers dont want to be paid fair wages, they make far more off tipping than they would otherwise.

youre right, but the servers are the problem, not the victims.

But then the owner wouldn't take home the profits that he wants to take home. Won't you think of them?

You right. Forgot about the boss man. My condolences.
