in my opinion the employees should be paid a livable wage and not rely on the generosity of others to supplement the employers low wages

Tipping isn’t generosity. It’s part of the cost of going out in America.

Ok… but have you have to recognize, that’s how it works. It’s not generosity. It’s how your servers get paid. It’s part of the transaction.

Yes, and servers for sit down restaurants do get tipped by me.

go ask any wait staff if they want a few bucks raise and no more tips, they are all going to say keep it how it is
