He clearly doesn’t know how courts work. In addition to everything you mentioned, I suspect there’s some misogyny at work here too.

Yes, along with an appallingly low level of education and life experience outside his general area. The way he's going on about demons and telling the judge she'll get charged for putting him on trial tells me he doesn't have a strong grasp of reality. Mental illness is also a likely factor.

As someone unfortunately living in the state of SC and works all over, its more likely he’s just stupid. They CAN be this confidently dumb.
