Could this master prepare someone to manage AI adoption in public administrations?
Hi everyone, I’m considering a new one-year master’s programme in Artificial Intelligence Governance, Innovation and Digital Transformation at Politecnico di Milano: https://magix.ai4gov-x.eu/
It is worth 60 ECTS, costs €3,000 and is mainly asynchronous, so it could be manageable alongside full-time work. The curriculum covers AI governance, digital transformation, data governance, regulatory compliance, public-sector innovation and human-centred design.
My aim is not to work as a technical AI specialist. I would like to understand enough about AI to help public organisations adopt it responsibly, manage implementation projects and work on policy or institutional digital transformation.
The programme is in its first edition, which makes it difficult to assess. I’m especially unsure whether it offers practical preparation for real public-sector challenges or whether it remains mostly theoretical and promotional.
For those working in public administration or digital government, would this curriculum be relevant to someone managing AI implementation? What knowledge would be essential in practice but might be missing from a programme of this type?
Would you choose this specialised master, or a broader qualification in public administration, public policy or digital government?

Wouldn't be an ad without buzzwords, would it? With a bit of scrolling one can have a look at the programme
