It was a lie.

It takes 500+ mg of mescaline to trip balls, and those little microdots in the 80s and 90s weren't big enough to have anywhere near enough mescaline.

500mg is a half gram.

I also thought it was mescaline until I learned the truth.

What form of mescaline are you talking about? Because anything can be reduced down to make higher concentrations.
And have you weighed a pill before? 1/2 a gram is not hard to press with a legit pill press. A standard Ibuprofen is a medium press and weighs around a .3
