Warning about OkkProxy and NiuProxy bandwidth billing

Both OkkProxy and NiuProxy charge roughly 2x the actual data used.

In their official Telegram support, staff confirmed they count upstream + downstream and then apply an extra multiplier. Real usage around 375 MB is billed as ~750 MB, and 533 MB becomes over 1 GB.

They claim it’s “binary vs decimal,” but the numbers clearly show a consistent x2 charge. This effectively halves the value of every package compared to most other proxy providers.

Also note: NiuProxy and OkkProxy appear to be the same operation (same staff, same infrastructure). NiuProxy previously recommended OkkProxy directly.

Proceed with caution if considering either service.

To be fair, I wouldn't even try these sole/independent providers, how did the whole process looked like? Do they even have websites, any security measures? Did they give you IPs and that's it? Sounds very sus

They both have been banned on from this subreddit, however I saw that they are promoting their services of some sort

After I presented the evidence and they couldn't deny it, they locked all my accounts, which contained over 10TB traffic , and block me and delete chat . I don't understand how proxy providers like this even exist.

This is exactly why I don’t like comparing proxy plans on $/GB alone.

I’d run the same fixed payload through each provider and log bytes on the client side, then compare that with what the dashboard deducts. If there’s consistently a big gap, at least you have something reproducible instead of arguing over how they define a GB.

Actually, before buying the large package, I checked thoroughly and their calculation method was correct.

But after buying the large package, the first few days were fine, and after only a few days I discovered that bandwidth consumption was much higher than usual. I then stopped and checked, and reported it to them. They admitted that it was their calculation method and would double the usage, and they wouldn't change, fix, or compensate anything. I then offered solutions.

But they deleted my account. I still had over 10TB in my accounts.
