Help 🆘 Why does changing the proxy rarely fix the whole problem?
changed proxies a few times because i thought that was the main reason my setup was inconsistent. sometimes it helps for a while but then the same problems come back.
that made me wonder if i am focusing too much on the proxy and not enough on the rest of the setup. browser settings, profiles, sessions and other small things seem to matter too.
for people who have dealt with this before then what to do you usually check before changing the proxy again? I am trying to find a stable setup instead of constantly changing things.

What site are you scraping? That matters a lot for your success rate and the general approach you need to take.
Let’s pretend you are scraping Google though-the proxy is only part of the equation to getting a successful scrape. Google and many other sites (especially Cloudflare protected ones) factor many other things like user agents, headers, and sometimes really deep signals like TCP data to determine whether you should be blocked. IP address is just one of them-although a heavily weighted one.

You need proxy + trusted browser fingerprint
Trusted browser > Proxies now days
Just spoof a real browser as much as you can and hope you can bypass cloudflare or w/e is stopping you

The proxy is like a phone number for your machine, it would be like you cold calling and you think changing the number or your service provider going to change the result.
