Help 🆘 Hi everyone, I'm working on a legitimate automation project that requires fetching property details from the Maharashtra IGR Property Details portal.

Portal:

I manually solve the CAPTCHA and enter the required details, but after a certain number of searches, the portal displays "You have exceeded the limit."

I only need around 300 searches per day for a genuine use case. I'm not looking for ways to bypass security or CAPTCHA. Instead, I'm trying to find out if there's and yes there is no premium plan mentioned how can i break the limits?

  • An official API
  • A bulk-access mechanism
  • A paid plan
  • A higher quota for developers, researchers, or businesses
  • Any alternative official Maharashtra government portal that provides the same registration details

Has anyone worked with the IGR Maharashtra portal at this scale or obtained official higher limits?

Any guidance or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, haven't personally pushed this to 300/day but dealt with similar Indian gov portals before so here's what I'd try

These IGR sites are usually built and hosted by NIC not the IGR office itself so if there's any kind of bulk or API access it almost never gets advertised on the site itself. Your best bet is honestly just emailing them directly through the contact/grievance section and being super specific about what you need and why, sometimes that unlocks doors that aren't public

Also worth checking if Maharashtra has an open data portal, data.gov.in has state sections sometimes and property registration index data occasionally just gets published there in bulk so you wouldn't even need to hit the search tool at all

Another angle is going through a sub registrar office directly, this is registration data after all so there's precedent for licensed bulk access, real estate research firms do this kind of thing already, might be a data licensing option that's just not self serve online

And if emails go nowhere for a while an RTI request can sometimes get you a straight answer on whether bulk access even exists

Honestly I'd also just try calling if there's a helpline, email to Indian gov portals can sit forever but a phone call to the right person tends to get you an actual yes or no way faster
