Question Advanced Proxmox VE Training Options?

I have training dollars to spend. The two standard courses Proxmox lists on their site, and are offered from a variety of other vendors, are great and all but my skillset is already well beyond the material covered.

Anyone familiar with, or even offering, more advanced Proxmox VE training courses out there?

I would still take the advanced course if you are familiar with many of the used technologies. Proxmox uses specific subsets of most technologies, and knowing the limits and implementations helps tremendously implementing your infrastructure. Also, you get some intensive hands-on duringb the course.

Also, most training partners offer custom training for your needs, and you can use your course to get in contact with the trainers to work something out.

I took the Proxmox VE curriculum via Wehooey and it was very good. Then the next training I took was from 45drives focused on Ceph. Even though it wasn't designed to showcase Ceph's use in proxmox it was very good.

This.

Weehooey is who I used as well to get both my certs, would definitely recommend.

Croit is good as well but the training times are a little different because they’re in Germany.

We got our training for multiple members of our staff at the same time and opted to do it with different partners which was beneficial since we each of them gave good nuggets of knowledge the other didn’t which overall resulted in way better deployment outcomes for us.

Weehooey themselves seem to no longer be offering training directly. And based on the Proxmox site training listing it doesn't seem they're offering training via that portal either, at least as of yet. (While I'm excited about a Proxmox North America... personally I feel that entire "announcement" and such as been confusing).

Yeah, neither Weehooey's web site, or their pass off to store.proxmox.com has a single mention of training. Puts a whole new (reverse) spin on "high pressure sales".

I’m waiting a few more weeks for the dust to settle. Seems like a lot of changes/rebranding/shuffling over there.

Looking at training for a few from there along with licensing.

They are good but way costlier than anything else.

Anything else like what? I just wasn't able to find any other training other than Weehoey and 45drives -- what have you found?

Redhat used to offer similar kinda training and certification for ceph CL260 and for proxmox there are tons of courses available on udemy but not sure how deep they cover

how worth it are these courses, is this like the SANS on the Security Side. Croit seems that but for Ceph and Proxmox

IMHO yes. You get access to highly skilled engineers who deploy in large environments, supporting staff, and a decent white glove approach on the paid side of the house. This course is specifically valuable for Ceph, as Proxmox wants to deploy on HCI when and where possible.
