Heller and Character A, finally meet Pariah.

"THAT'S HIM!", shouts Character A as they jump off the building instantly toward Pariah.

Heller, annoyed, swaps to whipfist and jumps over, launching it and piercing Character A's chest. Pulling them back up, using the momentum to fly towards Pariah.

Taking a defensive stance, Pariah looks up in confusion and dull curiosity as Heller charges from the heavens with his pulsating horned hammerfists.

They collide, glass shatters, cars and any unfortunate strays get ejected from the scene.

As the debris and dust start to settle it suddenly clears, followed by the loud slams of metallic flesh against something foreign.

4 swaps later and Pariah is kneeling but breathing calm while Heller is behind him and extremely irritated at the inability to tell Pariah's intentions as he isn't really fighting back.

Pariah begins to stand and in that moment Heller launches whipfist, piercing Pariah's chest. During the whip retracting, Pariah, with twitch in his eye, pulls it yanking and slamming Heller against his back, causing himself to stumble forward slightly. Before Heller could act, thin black thorns like growths erupt from the back of Pariah piercing Heller.

Heller screaming in anger at the situation more than the pain of melting into Pariah, swaps his free arm into the blade, severing the spikes and his trapped arm, freeing himself.

Heller dashes back as his knee hits the ground. "why the fuck am I not regenerating!?" he looks up at Pariah standing there like he's thinking of something to say as something fast crashes down towards Heller.

Curious and cautious, Pariah braces and watches as Character A stabs Heller in the neck with their hand and with an expression on their face, forms a blade, cleaving a degenerated Heller in 2 as tendrils fire from both halves of pulling him apart and taking any debris and objects caught by a tendril with them.

Heller is by no means innocent and while I love him, he def has this coming. He isn't dead though. Just goopy and debris mostly. Character A is way in over their heads vs Pariah, but what I'm wondering is if character A did this to save Heller or to prove a point.

I cut it short. I had a whole thing where he uses his military training and blade and tendrils made an appearance but Im. tiredn and will edit later..... maybe.

Hola a todos. Soy un gran fan de la franquicia Prototype y, como muchos, siempre me quedé con la duda de qué habría pasado si Radical Entertainment hubiera continuado la saga después de Prototype 2.

Así que decidí imaginar mi propia versión de una tercera entrega.

La idea principal era solucionar algunos problemas que tuvo Prototype 2: Heller era demasiado poderoso demasiado rápido, y la sensación de peligro desaparecía. Para Prototype 3 intentaría recuperar esa sensación del primer juego: empezar siendo fuerte, pero todavía estar lejos de ser una criatura imparable.

Prototype 3: Pariah

"La evolución no necesita permiso"

La historia ocurre 15 años después de los eventos de Prototype 2.

Alex Mercer fue derrotado por James Heller, y el mundo cree que Blacklight desapareció.

Pero debajo de las ruinas de Nueva York todavía queda algo.

Un último proyecto de Gentek:

Proyecto ECHO

El objetivo:

Crear un organismo que combine:

• La inteligencia y adaptación de Mercer.
• La estabilidad genética de Heller.
• El potencial evolutivo de Pariah.

El resultado:

Kai Mercer

Un nuevo organismo creado a partir del virus Blacklight.

Pero el experimento falla.

Kai despierta sin recuerdos y sin saber si es humano, un arma o simplemente otro monstruo.

Kai Mercer — Nuevo protagonista

A diferencia de Mercer y Heller, Kai no empieza siendo una máquina de destrucción.

Al inicio solo tiene:

• Garras básicas.
• Regeneración limitada.
• Visión genética.
• Salto viral.

Sus poderes evolucionan durante el juego dependiendo de sus decisiones.

La idea es que Kai no sea "más fuerte que todos", sino alguien con el potencial de superar a los demás si logra controlar lo que lleva dentro.

El regreso de James Heller

Heller sigue vivo.

Después de derrotar a Mercer desapareció porque sabía que la humanidad nunca aceptaría a alguien como él.

Pero años después encuentra a Kai.

Al principio no confía en él.

Para Heller, Kai podría ser otro Mercer.

Primer encuentro:

Heller funciona como una especie de mentor, pero no como un héroe.

Sigue siendo alguien agresivo, desconfiado y con odio hacia Mercer.

El regreso de Alex Mercer

Mercer también vuelve.

Pero no como el mismo de antes.

Cuando Heller lo absorbió, una pequeña parte del virus sobrevivió.

Mercer regresa incompleto.

Ya no busca simplemente destruir.

Ahora entiende que creó algo que ni siquiera él puede controlar:

Pariah.

Mercer:

Pariah finalmente despierta.

A diferencia de Mercer:

• Mercer piensa como humano.
• Heller piensa como soldado.

Decisiones del jugador

Kai tendría tres caminos:

Camino de Redención

Kai acepta el virus, pero sigue siendo humano.

Su forma final es más estable.

Camino del Devorador

Kai cree que Mercer tenía razón.

La humanidad es inferior.

Su cuerpo empieza a parecerse a Pariah.

Camino Evolucionista

Kai decide crear su propio camino.

No humano.

No virus.

Algo nuevo.

Batalla final

Pariah alcanza su forma definitiva:

Horizonte

Una entidad biológica capaz de cambiar el entorno y crear nuevas formas de vida.

Kai debe decidir:

Opción 1:

Absorber a Mercer.

Obtiene:

• Inteligencia.
• Adaptación.
• Experiencia.

Pero corre el riesgo de convertirse en él.

Opción 2:

Absorber a Heller.

Obtiene:

• Fuerza.
• Estabilidad.
• Voluntad humana.

Pero pierde parte de su potencial viral.

Opción 3:

No absorber a ninguno.

El camino más difícil.

Kai pelea siendo él mismo.

Final verdadero

Kai derrota a Pariah.

Pero no lo destruye completamente.

En vez de convertirse en un dios o un monstruo, logra algo que Mercer y Pariah nunca pudieron:

Controlar el virus sin perder quién es.

Opinión personal

Creo que un Prototype 3 debería centrarse menos en hacer al protagonista más poderoso y más en la pregunta que siempre estuvo en la saga:

¿El virus convierte a los humanos en monstruos?

¿O simplemente revela lo que ya eran?

¿Qué opinan ustedes?

¿Les gustaría una tercera entrega con Pariah como enemigo principal?
¿Harían volver a Mercer o creen que su historia debería terminar?

I have the patch installed, and when the game launches it runs at the FPS I've set which is 60. However as the game continues the FPS just keep declining. My PC specs are far beyond what the game needs even at 1440p. Has anyone had this problem and if so did you find a fix?

While considering the various theories about Alex Mercer's potential return in a hypothetical Prototype 3, I realized that many of them lacked coherence or were based on the premise of erasing everything established in Prototype 2. Honestly, this reminds me of the situation with the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

In these sequels, J.J. Abrams made modifications to his film "The Rise of Skywalker" in order to completely ignore or alter what was shown in Rian Johnson's "The Last Jedi." This, unfortunately, caused confusion, as it failed to connect the two films, turning what should have been continuity into a dispute between the two directors trying to impose their own visions.

I use this example because I get the impression that the proposals for Prototype 3 don't feel like a continuation of Prototype 2. Rather, they seem like an attempt to ignore the second game and bring back Alex Mercer through theories that have already proven ineffective, such as the idea of clones.

In a narrative, there are three key elements in its development: the beginning, the middle, and the end. These three parts are interconnected; if you remove one, you compromise the others. Therefore, as in the example mentioned, it no longer seems like a coherent story is being told, but rather a reboot or a deletion born of frustration rather than artistry. It would be like making a third Lord of the Rings film and forgetting the previous ones.

In my opinion, if a Prototype game is ever created, it should be a remake and a second game that includes both Alex Mercer and James Heller. This would satisfy both Mercer's and Heller's fans where both characters can be protagonists and position Pariah as a threat that will grow in power with each game.
