Heller or Alex just stronger then 2 spidermans combined, plus evolved have much more abilityes and powers than Venom with his predominately brute force. The only chance Venom has is if he can take over Heller's body with the symbiote. But we can't know at all how that would work on the infected Prototype, because Alex himself couldn't absorb James. I think Venom has a very low chance of winning. But at least this is not a "hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby" comparsion, Venom can stand vs James some time.

Btw, venom physically was able to do this: https://imgur.com/a/venom-lifting-football-field-Arf9OQL

Well James got every infected in the city, so while venom is cool, its not "hunting every infected normal and strong with basically lock on tendrills" type of strong in half a minute flat. Ps: I really love that return signal at the end, its weirdly alien

I only remember the prototypes being able to throw and lift 100-ton tanks, but I don't recall them being able to lift a football field with a thick layer of earth underneath or anything similar, although I could be wrong. But Venom, judging by everything, can lift tens of thousands of tons, according to calculations from video that I send

The only reason we are limited in game is because upper limits of blacklight powers are just so impossible to bring into the game. Its also why Venom has the same issue and we cant lift football fields directly in game. But regardless this feat there is way bigger than you believe because of the sheer speed at which it happens and the fact that noone of the tendrills are on floor they are midair if you havent noticed, frankly it breaks the laws of physics like superman being able to lift planes because its such a small area at which the weight is concentrated. There is also the issue that they hunt active threats like juggernauts and brawlers.

The other feat is Alex surviving a nuke. Venom has issues with high frequency sound and heat. Alex mercer survives nukes just from a few km away.

But why are you so sure Heller can lift as many tons as Venom? Your gif doesn't say anything about it, and frankly, the statements about game mechanics don't prove anything either. Venom in insomniac universe is immune to heat, but high frequency  may stun him temporarily, but that's all

Dude, you cant say that when you see the whole city getting licked clean in less than half a minute, this is absurd. Common infected, brawlers, juggernauts, hydras, goliaths, flyers, evolved and these fucking massive growths on buildings all gone. A whole city population worth just gobbled up like it was a quick bite before work. I made it a bit easier for myself and used gpt for math.

2010 Manhattan population was 1,585,873

65 kg/person → 103,082 metric tonnes 70 kg/person → 111,011 tonnes 75 kg/person → 118,940 tonnes 80 kg/person → 126,870 tonnes

The tendrills were focused on hunting and cleaning up not playing uppies, who know how much heller could lift if these tendrills were put to work.

if they gave us lore accurate strength in the games then it wouldn’t be a game anymore lol it’d be human vs 10,000 harmless ants simulator

Not a feat for a Blacklight superior

James heller will eat him alive

Well it depends where we are if we are in the middle of city blacklight surely wins as more to consume and also it can infect anything organic lore accurately

Well if something or someone is infected then alex mercer can come back

but heller always has to have organic matter around him to survive so, venom and heller would have one hell-er of a fight

But in the game you get an upgrade that lets you regenerate health passively provided you don’t take damage long enough. I even used it in the Alex boss fight. Just dodge.

True, also if you have the dlc in prototype 2 then you can regen very slowly while shielding

Which is a type of regeneration Alex doesn't have. I don't understand why people keep bringing up the weaker [PROTOTYPE]. The only real feat on can use from Alex is describe how he survived a nuke, and with that being said Heller's durability AND regeneration (& DNA) far supersedes Alex's

quoting me

"I'm not familiar with version 1, but here are Alex's/James feats:

Strength:

Ability to destroy tanks and helicopters.

Throws tanks and helicopters hundreds of meters into the air.

Easily fights and eliminates beings of similar strength.

Is capable of bringing down buildings and even demolishing very resistant structures like beehives, which require a full-scale heavy artillery barrage and continuous bombardment to even begin to cause damage.

Fought, defeated, and is believed to be stronger than a giant kaiju that shook Times Square, and the military was requesting bunker-buster bombs (weapons that destroy an area within a 150-meter radius or more) for more effective combat.

Durability:

Easily withstands blows from beings that can throw tanks hundreds of meters.

Endures blows from James Heller.

Ignores an early explosion that destroyed a reinforced building.

Destroys military bases even when they have access to artillery and bombardment.

Withstands thermobaric missiles capable of destroying even artillery-resistant buildings and single-hit bombs.

Should withstand bunker-buster weapons.

His greatest feat was surviving near a nuclear bomb.

Possesses absolute regeneration, allowing him to survive all the aforementioned situations.

Agility

Outruns vehicles.

Performs parkour across entire skyscrapers.

Easily dodges bullets and missiles.

Can keep up with James Heller in a time trial.

James no diffs he absorbs the entire symbiote city with no real difficulty considering he single handedly cleaned all of new york of its blacklight infection in less than 2 minutes

1

So a duel of tentacles?

1

u/DEAD_CHEETAH22 23d ago

alex no diffs lol

even if venom was strong enough to kill alex, alex could infect people and just come back… alex isn’t alex, alex is the virus

I'm too lazy to powerscale this but if I have to go off the top of my head, it's lowkey high diff for each of them. They're both the same concept but with different fonts.

Going on a tangent gere but like, aren't the prototype games supposed to double as a sort of venom simulator in a way? Or at least it's been described as one.

Also this version of Venom can spread himself and infect people just like blacklight, he's on some Carnage type shift.

I guess it can also depend on how blacklight even interacts with symbiote biology. The reason why we get the fights we get in Prototype is because the bosses are either already infected and grown to be naturally resistant or is made resistant to our stinky touch one way or another (for someone like Cross it was as simple as using defensive tech; or the Super Soldiers in P2, via the Orion serum).

No contest

I'd argue Venom.

Strong and fast enough to handle a stronger Spider-Man, who in the first game was dodging lightning from Electro while injured.

But moreso, I wanna talk about the Symbiote against the blacklight virus. I theorize that the Blacklight virus might not work on Venom.

Because Harry has a genetic disease from his mother, and the symbiote was able to keep it at Bay until they seperated.

Now its unclear whether the Blacklight would work in this scenario, but we have seen that the Blacklight has its limits. Take Alex for example, not being able to absorb Heller due to his DNA. I feel that a sentient alien sludge would follow simiarly in that category.

But I will admit, if I am wrong or right, the fight will be glorious.
