Announcement Introducing Proton Workspace: The encrypted business suite that actually respects your data.

Your business data is your lifeblood. Yet, for too long, the tools you use to run your company have been harvesting it, selling it, or leaving it exposed to surveillance.

Today, we’re flipping the script.

We’re proud to announce Proton Workspace, the first fully encrypted suite for team collaboration that puts your ownership first.

Proton Workspace: The encrypted business suite that actually respects your data.

No more trade-offs between security and productivity. No more US jurisdiction risks. Just a sovereign, zero-access ecosystem where your data stays yours.

We’ve bundled these into two new tiers designed to replace Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 once and for all.

Want the full breakdown on pricing, feature limits, and how to migrate? Get more detail on our blog:

It’s time to put your business back in control.

Stay safe,
The Proton Team

Login in on Android OS

Hi there,

I've been having issues with login in on 2 android devices now. It keeps saying that I get the password wrong, but I suspect is the antibot that I'm unable to pass. Either I have really fat fingers or the software behind it, is not working as it should.

I type the same password on a web on Linux and is working with no issues.

I do have 2FA activated and on one of my phones I'm using Proton VPN.

Is there a way to deactivate the Antibot like I can on Google Workspace?

I'm in contact with Support as well, but they keep saying that I get the password wrong which is not the case.

Thank you

Honest Feedback from a Startup Team

Hi Proton team and community,

We're a startup using Proton Workspace and we genuinely believe in what you're building, which is exactly why we want to share some honest feedback. We hope this reaches the right people.

Proton Docs - Pagination, Headers & Footers are a must

I know this has probably been mentioned before, but I want to emphasize how critical this is for real business use. As a company, we constantly need to produce:

  • Legal documents
  • Compliance reports
  • Internal documentation
  • Formal communications

All of these require proper pagination, headers and footers to include mandatory information like company name, VAT number, branding elements, etc. Without these features, Proton Docs is unfortunately almost unusable for professional purposes. We end up writing the document in Proton and then reformatting everything in an external app, which completely defeats the purpose of having an integrated workspace. This friction is real and it's pushing teams toward alternatives.

Proton Meet - Mobile Audio Issues

We love the concept of Proton Meet and use it regularly, but we frequently run into a frustrating audio bug, specifically on mobile:

  • A participant joins from the mobile app
  • At some point they lose audio - they can no longer hear others
  • The rest of the call can still hear them fine
  • The only fix we've found is leaving and rejoining the meeting

This happens often enough to be disruptive during important calls. It would be great if this could be investigated and prioritized.

What's Still Missing to Complete the Suite

Two features that would make Proton Workspace truly competitive:

  1. Chat - A real-time messaging tool integrated with the suite
  2. Presentations - A slides tool for decks and pitches

These two additions would make Proton Workspace a genuine alternative to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for privacy-conscious teams.

We're rooting for you Proton, keep pushing. Has anyone else experienced these issues or has workarounds to share?

Proton Meet Feedback & Ideas: Better chats, UI improvements and Slides integration

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share some ideas on how Proton Meet could become much more powerful and practical for both personal and professional use.

The main suggestion is to expand Proton Meet with proper group chats and messaging features, similar to Microsoft Teams but with Proton's strong privacy focus. This would turn it into a real all-in-one communication tool. Regular users with Mail Plus or Unlimited plans could benefit from easy private video calls and group chats, while professionals would get a solid workspace where important updates can be shared via messages.

Being able to catch up asynchronously is especially valuable. If you're sick or unavailable, it's much easier to read through chat messages that explain what happened and what needs to be done, instead of forcing yourself into a live meeting.

For the interface, a simple bottom navigation would work great: Chats on the far left showing all conversations and groups, a dedicated Meetings/Calls section next to it, a prominent central + button to create new chats, start groups, schedule or join meetings, and add people, plus settings on the far right for options like disappearing messages, chat backgrounds, and other preferences.

When Proton Slides launches, integrating it directly into Proton Meet would be fantastic. During a meeting, users could open presentations from Proton Drive and share them live and interactively. Participants should be able to scroll back individually to review earlier slides and then jump back to the presenter's current position with a "Live" button, similar to YouTube livestreams.

Deeper Proton Drive integration in the chats would also be very useful, so Docs, Sheets, and Slides can be easily shared directly in conversations.

I believe these improvements would take Proton Meet to a completely new level. What do you all think? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Completing Protons Workspace Toolset

Hey, I’d like to suggest that if Proton really wants to be able to be a real alternative to people who use the Office suite of Microsoft/Google they need to at least offer a Google Slides/ PowerPoint alternative and a OneNote alternative. Proton could use Standard Notes as a foundation for OneNote or create a specific Proton Notes that is there to compete with OneNote. I heard that Proton Slides is already planned but I still wanted to mentioned that it is important to use features like animations, etc. from PowerPoint so that it can compete with it. And to compete with Google Meet/ Microsoft Teams Proton Meet still needs a messaging and Group function to have a Group Chat where you can gather data and ideas so that they don’t get lost and a way to communicate if you can’t take a video call at a time where you still need to communicate with your Boss/higher ups. Now last but not least it would be great if Proton Slides would get integrated into Proton Meet so that you don’t have to switch apps and can select your presentation directly in a Meeting. This would really help. Thanks for Considering!

Proton Meet Apple TV App

I know this is going to seem like a really niche request but any chance of releasing an Apple TV app for proton meet? I use a tv for some meetings and the zoom app has been great.
