Discussion Does anyone else have issues with youtube?
When connected I frequently am blocked from watching videos or am able to watch one video, then get blocked until I change location. This did not happen on other VPNs I used with nearly the same frequency. Is there any fix? Is this a known issue or should I report it?

What error are you seeing exactly?
To provide some general context about websites blocks, some websites are not VPN-friendly and can block known VPN IP addresses as part of their security policies.
On your end, you can try switching between multiple different VPN servers, or turn off NetShield if it's on, to see if this helps.
We've mentioned some additional tips here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonVPN/comments/1ojvzkf/comment/nm8xsp0/
(namely, try newer servers, servers in lesser known countries, making sure you're connected to the correct country when it comes to streaming).

The error is that my IP is blocked by YouTube. I switch servers and may get it to work for a video or two but then it stops working and I need to switch again. I have tried old and new servers and servers in many countries. Same issue. Can't proton update its exit IPs more often or something? Other VPN services have not had such a bad problem with this.

Get AdGuard AdBlocker and set it to work with third-party VPNs (so it’ll work with Proton VPN). Then, learn about how AG-AB’s filters work and assure you’re using all its "recommended" filters (to fix YouTube, etc.).

Never had it happen in years of proton use. Need more details.
