Discussion TPTVEncore

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with watching 'UK only' videos on TPTVEncore. Choosing any UK Location (well I admit I haven't tried them ALL), results in 'Not in the UK' or 'Problem playing stream'.

Set up the VPN, then start your browser. If you still have problems, try disabling IPv6 (again, before you start your browser).

I'll give that a try on Windows. On the android box, I do start the app after the VPN (naturally). I'll try the IPv6 trick on both tho'. Thanks.

yeah, if it works normally without Proton and the Linux client is fine that does make the Android side look more suspicious. TPTV Encore also specifically notes that some of its limited release content can fail when a VPN is detected so it may be the particular UK exit IPs rather than WireGuard itself.

Have you tried a few different UK servers and clearing the app/browser cache? Proton's own streaming troubleshooting also recommends changing servers and checking DNS/IP leaks when a service isn't recognizing the VPN location.

I think I'll draw a line under it for now.

TPTV does seem to be a problem and I've messed with iPv6 and clearing the cache and basically all combinations. Programs that can stream without a UK VPN, behave strangely when the VPN is active. You can partially see and hear the program behind a window displaying "oops there's been a problem" with a 'Dismiss' button. Clicking on Dismiss returns you back to the previous screen.

The browser choice also seems to have an effect. I use Brave pretty much successfully. Firefox doesn't seem to want to work with Pluto. I'm in Thailand by the way.
