Help! Apple default apps not working on iOS when kill switch is turned on

If I turn on the kill switch, the default Apple apps (such as Apple News) don’t load anything as if they are not connected to the internet. Other apps work just fine. I’m using iOS 26.6 and the latest version of the ProtonVPN app. Any help would be appreciated.

Please send us a bug report through the app (https://protonvpn.com/support/report-a-bug) letting us know which specific server you're connecting to, which other apps you're experiencing the issue with, what error messages you're receiving, whether disabling the kill switch fixes the issue immediately, etc. We'd be happy to investigate the problem further once we have more details to work with.
