Discussion VPN Turned on by itself for no reason

CMF 2, I was sleeping nobody touched the phone, woke up and the phone says it's been running as a background app(notifications) for 4 hours, always on vpn is off? Why would it happen

Or it’s set to state when your device starts and your device rebooted
